Criston had watched the prince grow from a frightened boy to a confident young man who has his mother's grace and his father's poise and yet prince Aemond Targaryen was a creature of his own volition. Aemond was a master of the blade in ways that exceeded Criston's teaching methods and for that, a swell of pride fills his chest as if he were his own. "I'm afraid there's nothing more I can teach you, my prince." He jests, picking his own sword from the ground. "It seems the student has surpassed their tutor."

       𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄  crackling fire, the creaking  &&  charred walls of harrenhal.   the pair of them sat at the end of the witches bed closest to the fire where warmth radiated off of the flames—talking, as they often did in one another’s comforting company, about his dragon, about her ability to mutter spells.   at some point, it seems alys had brought herself closer to the prince  &&  taken his hand, larger  &&  more calloused than her own, into her lap.   fingers ran indistinguishable patterns about his palm when conversation seemed to be reaching its end for the night. . . head quick to rise from where eyes had been fixated on his hand, fingers around his own, when alys found herself increasingly  𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓮   to aemond. she could feel the breath on her cheek, the way his eye gazed at her so intently . . a moment passed, body tilting forward while keeping eye contact.     :      (    a small nod of her head in permission, the intoxicating anticipation as breath mixes together,  &&  for a moment you both swear you can hear the others heart.    )    nose briefly brushes against his own, eyes fluttering closed as lips made contact with one another.   soft at first, not entirely timid, with the first peck yet it’s the second, the one that has aemond placing his hand along her throat to draw her back  𝚃𝙾𝚆𝙰𝚁𝙳 𝙷𝙸𝙼,   that held the most fire, the post passion.   alys makes a small noise into his mouth, hand that held his instinctively raising to place against his chest right below collarbone.     the brush of his thumb against her skin, kisses persisting, sends a shiver down witches spine.

        𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃, 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓  that fosters half bleeding  &&  half iced heart.    events unfolded so quickly—the dying wishes of a husband, the whispers of a father,  &&  where were her own desires in all of it ?   drowned out by what she felt duty , honor ,  &&  sacrifice.    some part of the mother felt that this was what viserys wanted in his final moments while the other raged against the idea that if she didn’t crown her own flesh that rhaenerya, her beloved rhaenerya, would come after them like her father claimed.    what was the line between what’s   𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽   &&  what’s told to you to do ?  ‘even now you do the bidding of men. . . ‘  rhaenys’s words echo like ghosts in the back of mind as alicent paced about her chambers.   fingernails are bloodied again from constantly picking to accompany her growing anxieties.     ;      son’s comment, ears hearing them in a tone they might not have been meant in, pricks a spike of momentary anger inside of her causing alicent to huff a sigh, turn sharply,  &&  face aemond with a displeased expression:   ❝  is that so, aemond ?! . . . i have far too much to worry about right now  &&  i do not wish to suffer comments like that from you !   ❞   voice raises a little,  𝙵𝙾𝚁𝙴𝙸𝙶𝙽  to him, to a medium shout. instant regret fills her chest, features softening as alicent bounds over to one of her youngest.   hand is quick to take hold of his, a comforting touch:  ❝  oh, my love, i’m sorry.  ❞   hand brushes some strands of silver hair behind his ear. hand brings their joined one into her lap,  ❝  I didn’t mean to shout at you , aemond . . . I’m just-I’m troubled is all.  ❞   a sigh past lips,   ❝  with your father gone  &&  aegon as king . . i fear what might become of him now that he has anything he desires at beck  &&  call. ❞   they both know how aegon is, how he acts.

"LEAVE  US  ,  KAELYS,”  VAEYELLA  said  ,  gently  handing  off  an  infant  that  was  bouncing  on  her  hip  to  the  handmaiden.  Platinum  hair  was  let  down  from  it’s  braids  from  earlier  ,  hand  moving  to  rub  her  face.  

“By  the  gods  ,  Aemond,”  Brows  furrowed  as  she  turned  on  her  heels  to  look  at  him.  “No  ,  this  was  not  the  way  things  were  supposed  to  be!”  Perhaps  because  of  their  own  foolishness  ,  this  was  why  it  was.  

“What  were  you  thinking  ,  Aemond?”

          🔥THE ROGUE PRINCE HAD RETURNED TO KING’S LANDING for the possible funeral of his older brother, the King. The capital city of the seven kingdoms did not hold anything for him now. It was a sore eyed sight how much it had changed under the influence of Alicent Hightower. And he hated everything that has been modified without his brother decision, or let alone knowledge.

          Without yet visiting his brother, the Prince took upon himself to let loose some of his frustration giving the circumstances of his presence, and the lack of interest in being there. After a small meeting with the Queen, as she welcomed his presence, more for obligation than sympathy, he decided he needed to relax before some heads would roll.

          That was how he ended in the training grounds. Luckly the cunt of Ser Oranges - a mocking nickname he had started using from Cole - was not around. There were few people there, and some that he knew from the City Guard. Daemon approached them, and after greeting them, they began to spar. Unknown to him was the fact that someone was watching his every move the whole time.
