Aellais thinks Magister Duskwhisper is pleasant enough, but there's something about the way he speaks and writes that strikes her as odd. A little fussy, and contrived. When he's not tearing people apart with his tongue, he's almost -too-pleasant. He's nice to her. Maybe too nice.

She generally assumes he's just uncomfortable around undead, but sometimes she wonders if he uses those pretty words like an armor, to cover up some vulnerable spot.Or a bandage, to hide a wound.

Aenstrian interests Calida. She can't quite figure out if he's serious or not (about anything) and from her limited interactions she still kind of wants to poke him with a stick. Because when he gets riled up he's hilarious and she loves to pull strings and watch people go.

She does like trolling him, but it is, for the most part, completely well-intentioned. She appreciates that he seems to value (or at least listen to) her opinion in the past.

I'd say the stick-poking is 60% messing with and 40% trying to figure out how he works/what the truth is. Maybe 55/45. Or 70/30.
