Mourning me getting rid of the Mythos storyline from Beanstalked but only because of these two characters being a part of it

They were basically Bookmarked (even though I hadn't though of that term back then) with Medusa and Perseus.

I DO KNOW in one of the the fairy collection books, I believe the Blue Fairy Book, "The Terrible Head" is a story that is literally JUST a retelling of the legend of Perseus but through a more fabled lens so the door is left a wee bit ajar on these two if I wanna make a little meta ref and keep them

This is a collection of snippets from the book i'm writing. These might not be as they will be in any published work, and some of it is more polished then other parts.

A nation ruled by a family descendant of their God; Anemoi considers the Aeraki symbols of unchallenged power… But what goes on behind the walls of their castle home is far from virtuous. The Crown Skalono Aeraki is a guilty womanizer. He has earned the anger of his wife Saria, for many years before he brings home something much more damning than the scent of another woman on his skin. A bastard daughter. This is a story about Amara Aeraki, a woman fated to live in both glory and misery.

A bunch of losers that think they're cool

Happy WBW! What are special effects like in your world? Is it magic or is it just human effort?

Ive thought a lot about this actually! Its a mix of the two, usually going hand in hand.

There are pyrotechnics which were likely made by either Drasil or Ishida. Anemoi took the idea and absolutely ran with it, creating beautiful firework displays for their festivals. Sparklers are very popular too.

In Anemoian theater masks are almost always used. Its rare for an Anemoian play to not use characters that are animal headed.

Electro and pyrokinetics can light powders to create bursts of colourful fire and those electrokinetics can create lightshows given enough practice and technique. Firebreathing is very common for pyrokinetics doing shows.

Another thing pyrokinetics can do is use magic lanterns. Theyre an early form of projectors that use coloured glass slides. A metal manipuator could probably shift metal frames around to create movement with a magic lantern projector

A hydrokinetic could create mist or fog, especially along side an aerokinetic

There are also shapeshifters though theyre very rare since the power is recessive and sometimes skips a few generations.

Uhhh the only other thing i can think off the top of my head is moving stuff "telepathically" with aerokinetics. Either by creating low pressure points or high.

As it gets into Chiens reign... camera MIGHT be invented? If they are of course photo manipulation would become a practice almost immediately as it did in our world.
