GOD this was FUN!!!

I've been sitting on this for months but was waiting until I had a full six ideas to put together - Solstrom was the one that sealed the deal

It was also by far the most difficult 😅

I swear the Koozä influences weren't all intentional, I just realised that gold and red contrasted well with Prophet's blue and silver palette

Solstrom's plot is literally perfect

Eccentric astronomer/inventor discovers a circus on the sun as several creatures living in it depart towards Earth

He then spends twelve episodes watching either a single or a pair of creatures travelling the world and (mostly) harmlessly messing with people in really super weird ways to which their victims just say "fuck it we ball" and go along with it for some reason

Then they change course to the second planet to the right behind Jupiter and throw a party where two of them die - the astronomer tries to report them to the space authorities, gives up and joins in

Absolute cinema

Now we just need a reboot

How to improve Solstrom

You can't.

It's literally perfect.

Seriously don't even bother trying.

There's nothing to improve.

Just kidding, you can reboot it.

Let's be honest if Solstrom was made today there's no way Alibrijé from Luzia WOULDN'T be in it

I love Boum-Boum okay I love him so I need to point out the differences between Quidam!Boum-Boum and Soltrom!Boum-Boum and side note but I friggin LOVE writing sentences like this which are entirely incomprehensible to people outside of this one very niche fandom.

So this is Boum-Boum as he appears throughout Quidam. His resting face is impassive boardering on angry, frequently dips into angry and he loves yelling.

He does smile during Quidam, but rarely. His most frequent expressions are serious or angry.

Now look at these pictures:

These are from Solstrom. Look at his face!!

He's decidedly more expressive, his new resting face being a huge smile. He doesn't yell at all during Solstrom.

And it's so much more endearing!!

I mean I already found him super endearing during Quidam but this is even more than that, like he just happens to be in a good mood this time.

I have no conclusion or takeaway I just love talking about my blorbos and I love Boum-Boum lol
