The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project.
I genuinely wonder if people realize how many projects get abandoned because the readership "wasn't there", when in reality, the readership just stayed silent. It's a big thing in trad pub that book series get discontinued because readers pirate the books or wait until the series is finished to buy a copy, leading the publisher to think that nobody actually wants the book enough to continue the series, but it happens with indie creators too.
I've discontinued a lot of free, online series because it's not worth putting 3-5 hours a week into posting a project for no readers. Sometimes I finish the series for me but just never post it again, other times I don't finish it at all because it feels more worthwhile to put my time into other things. Sometimes I hear from readers who are sad or upset that I didn't finish something they were liking, but the *reason* it never got finished is because I didn't know anyone liked it. If you like something, tell the creator, tell your friends, make some noise about it. If you would be sad if a story never finished, make that interest known because one of my biggest considerations before discontinuing a series is "will people miss this? Will I be letting people down" and 9/10 times, I come to the conclusion of "no, it doesn't even seem like anyone's reading this" only to learn after I've moved on that apparently someone was.
I've said this before in a different way, and this post said it so well. With real examples.
If you like something, tell people.
If you want more content from an artist or author, if you like their stuff, tell them. It will give them creative fuel to keep going. And often it gives them other resources as well.
Recommend a work to other people. Leave a comment or a review. It doesn't have to be long, just genuine, a sentence or two.
Not many people know that a book's success is judged by book reviews as well as sales. Review the book on Amazon or another site to help it pass the metric of success and be recognized by publishers and retailers.
But seriously though. Learning to draw fat people will make you a much better artist. Understanding how skin and fat behaves and folds in certain poses, and being able to adapt complex poses to fit a fat body (as usually references are with thin models) will help you TREMENDOUSLY. Drawing fat being properly affected by gravity will aid you in ALL figure drawing in the future. Like if you have any sort of interest in drawing humanoid figures (AND furries) you really ought to learn how to draw fat of all kind.

Dren is 16 and he is an apprentice doctor. He has the ability of mental inducement, a blessing he was born with from his paternal side. When his patient is suffering and Dren's anxiety gets the better of him, he does something stupid that crosses a line.
He reckons with the consiquences of this and seeks how to move on from this from one of his many father figures back from when he was an orphan.

Rhys’ thumb pressed slightly against Dren’s shoulder as if to anchor him. His voice softened but the heaviness of his tone remained.
“You have erred, yes. You were desperate to give her relief and you wanted to know she was safe, but lines were crossed… I cannot tell you a comforting lie that what you did can be wiped away easily. So yes, you did make things worse.
Your helplessness? That is sometimes the reality of penance. When you truly confront your guilt or mistakes, it can make you feel small and powerless, subject to a force greater than you or I - but that doesn't mean you can't better yourself and it does not mean you should allow yourself a pass because you feel sorry for yourself.”
Rhys stood up, hand still on Dren's shoulder. Dren kept eye contact.
“Name your sins to me clearly, child. Then we will ask God for forgiveness. Know it well, forgiveness is not the same as being absolved. That comes with actions you take and lots of patience… but we will still ask to be heard.”
“I…” Dren took a long few seconds to collect his thoughts and collect his voice.
“I-I broke her trust when she needed me to be better. I used my mental inducement on her when I knew she didn't want that.”
Rhys nodded, waiting for him to breathe and continue. Dren's voice sounded hoarse and sore again, his throat tightening further.
“I thought I was helping, I thought I could help her but I wasn’t helping. I just… violated her. I crossed a line and made it worse no matter how you look at it.”
“...”
Dren fell into a harsh whisper as he lowered his head. He was pink with shame. He folded his hands between his knees and held his fingers until his knuckles went white.
“I thought I knew what she needed more than her own self, but I was just being selfish… making myself feel better about a hunch.”
“What do you need from God's grace?”
“Forgiveness. Guidance. Strength to fix what I can.”
“Lord Cextos hears you and he knows your intent, Dren. He knows you meant well,” Rhys let out a slow breath, moving the hand from Dren's shoulder to place on his own heart. He lowered his own head finally and whispered a short, personal prayer for Dren's guidance.
“What do I do if things get worse?... If she also doesn't understand what I was trying to do when I speak with her?”
Rhys raised himself and turned to the window, peering out of a section of warped clear glass and watching as a paper thin sheet of snow began to accumulate. It would likely be gone by noon unless it got colder.
He replied matter-of-factly, confident in his assertion.
“Then you live with that. You honour what you’ve done by never making that mistake again, if or if not she forgives you.”

I bought a giant textbook on herbal medicine and it actually goes into the chemical processes that explain why medicinal plants do what they do rather than just explaining that they do them, and I'm actually salivating over the idea of reading it
For everyone asking, the book is called "Medical Herbalism: The Science Principles and Practices Of Herbal Medicine" by David Hoffmann. It's around 672 pages long and depending on where you get it, it costs anywhere from $30 to $60

Ive really been enjoying La Brea: Ecos recently. Joined a really fun rp server and I drew one of my wolves. Her name is Iluka and her birth pack lives by the Santa Monica Bay.
