This is all @aerylon ‘s fault-- I’m not even IN this fandom.  Is heterochromia in Transformers a Thing? (There’s a story here-- we’re driving home and I notice not one, but two different vehicles with odd coloured headlights-- one in the more yellow light range, and one in the more blue. Interestingly, both vehicles had the more yellow on the passenger side and more blue on driver’s side. It’s been a long day and my brain has been set to random since go, so of course the next thing that comes into my mind is how this would translate into the Transformers fandom, ofwhichI’mnotevenapart, so clearly, aerylon’s fault.)

6:  A song that makes you want to dance: Oh gosh, I could write for days…  I posed this question to the monkeys and the first response was, Wake Me Up by Wham.  Bonus Zoolander video for this one, because it makes me laugh. 

Do You Love Me by the Contours (bonus Dirty Dancing video) is another one that always starts a kitchen dance party! 

Let’s Have a Kiki by the Scissor Sisters, though this one isn’t always appropriate, depending on who else is listening. 

Time Warp from RHPS, of course. 

Think by Aretha Franklin (bonus Blues Brothers video). 

17:  A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke:  You’re the One That I Want from Grease is the first duet that pops into my head.  I love this song and I always belt it out when it comes on.  

29:   A song that you remember from your childhood: The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band. I was raised in a pretty conservative, religious household and we were not allowed to swear, at all, except one shining exception: if it was in a song, we could sing it.  

My parents favored classic country and gospel, so there were a fair few times we could sing things like hell and damn.  But this song has one glorious use of “you son of a bitch” that my siblings and I always sang for all we were worth.

Now as a parent, I’m a lot more open, so swearing isn’t unheard of here, but my kids, especially Button, still love this song for the unfettered joy of shouting out “son of a bitch” without having to worry about who might be listening.

For the Halloween ask: Graveyard, Zombie, and/or Full Moon!

Yay for awesome asks!  Thank you so much, @aerylon!

Graveyard: Do you know any good scary stories? I know the start of a very scary story! 

Once upon a time, an unnaturally orange man-child and his homophobic, bigoted partner in crime somehow became leaders of a large nation. No one quite knows how it happened and many people still wonder if it wasn’t some kind of practical joke that just got out of hand.  

People became quite upset at the pair and their cohorts as the world watched them make a mockery of things many took very seriously. 

How does the story end?  Only time will tell, but I suspect it’s going to get scarier before it gets better. 

Zombie: Do you think that you could survive a zombie apocalypse?  I mean, we all die in the end, so no one really survives, do they?  But in the short term, probably.  

Full Moon: Do you prefer nighttime or daytime?  I love both, but if I had to choose, nighttime.  There’s something intimate about the dark, that special something that allows people to let their guard down and be more openly, authentically themselves.  

Plus I love the stars!

Coffin: Have you ever had a paranormal experience?  Not as such, no.  It’s not something I was even remotely open to for most of my life, and it has been brought to my attention that I may have simply missed the signs by being so closed to the possibility. 

Full moon:  Do you believe in reincarnation?  Someone once told me that death is the extinguishing of a flame; every candle you’ve lit during your life continues to burn, to light new and different candles, but yours simply ceases to exist.  

I think I like that better than the idea of coming back, over and over again.

For the Creepy Questions ask: 17, 73, and 49

17: When was the last time you cried? Yesterday.  My kid does an incredibly hilarious impression of Tachanka from Rainbow Six Seige and while we grocery shopped yesterday, he was “in character.” Imagine that deep, Russian sounding voice saying things like, “Mom, can we get some cookies?” or “How many gallons of milk should I grab?”   Tears of laughter were plentiful. 

73: Do you have someone of the opposite sex you can tell everything to?  Simple answer? Yes.

More complex answer? There is no such thing as opposite genders, as that implies a simple gender binary, which has been scientifically proven to be a fallacy.  Not only is it physically incorrect, the gender binary does a disservice to all of us by encouraging traditional gender roles and societal “norms” that do far more harm than good. 

49: Is your life anything like it was two years ago? In many ways it’s quite similar.  But, as Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr said, “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to it’s old dimensions.”

For the 50 strange and unusual questions for Halloween: 27, 49, and 8!

27. Have you ever seen a dead body apart from a funeral?

Yeah. When family members choose to die at home rather than in a hospital or other care facility, it’s not easy to avoid. That’s regarding human bodies. Animals? All the freakin’ time, whether it be roadkill, hunted game, or whatever.

49. Have you ever caught a photo of a ghost?

Not yet! I’ve certainly made attempts, though. Someday!

8. Have you ever had a black cat cross you, and have a streak of bad luck afterwards?

Owned and happily snuggled black cats at points in the past. :D Never had any bad luck that could be associated with them. I’m much more of the thought that black kitties are good luck. <3
