Yikes. My other great grandparents were Jews of German descent, I think, but they emigrated out a lot sooner. It's just such a horrible thing, and so many people were affected by it in someway or another. Like why would anyone ever want to defend this

Yeah, I’m pretty glad I never met them haha.  I don’t know how I’d deal with that.  But yeah, that war affected a lot of people and people saying “oh it never happened!!” make me so mad

My great grandfather managed to get a woman in the states to marry him in the 30s, but he had four siblings, nieces and nephews, and his parents left behind in Hungary at the time. only like four or five of like 25 of them made it out alive :( holocaust deniers are just.... agh

Dang :(((  Yeah, that’s pretty awful.  Apparently my German family had some Hitler supporters??  Like my mom remembers when she was a kid and still living there her aunts and stuff would say stuff like “This never would have happened under Hitler!!” and I’m just like “Barf” and my mom can’t believe they would say stuff like that

Aw :((  Yes, people are definitely gross.  My grandma is German/Serb living in Yugoslavia at the time, so they had to lie and say they were Croatian and then Collowrath, a fellow Slav, somehow thinks Hitler is a good person when Slavs were on his list too??  Ugh ugh ugh.  Any Holocaust deniers make me ugh

rn i'm really impressed w/ my mother bc she was talking to my father on my phone and long story short she threw it against the wall and it shattered
