Sadie and Carter are so awesome. They are legendary. They are equal to Percy and Annabeth in their travels. They all survived something no mortal should have. Ever. Literally the deepest pits of hell. Not even Apophis had been able to escape. The literal primordial embodiment of chaos could not break out. But Carter and Sadie survived and emerged. The chaos sickness was so well described, Rick. And the bittersweetness of them being so close but certain of death before being reborn. The entire TOFF book was aesthetic as FUCK. The diverted River Of Night. Amazing. The snake being buried in billions of beetles. Menshikov being kind of the victim. You had to feel for the guy at the end. Having yiur mind subjected to pure chaos would drive me... well, obviously, lol
