Hmmmm, good question but I don’t have an answer for it. It might be a distraction for now but what about when they release you from the Muken? Do you have any plans?
Do I have Plans ™?
Do you really have to ask me that, @aestheticbleach101?
I suppose you also expect me to tell you what they are? Well, since they are 18,800 years from now, I suppose I can give you a few hints.
Firstly, I really doubt I will have to wait 18,800 years.
@shunsuisuggestions is doing his liver no favors.
Also, I don’t know how well you followed the final events of the battle against Juha Bach, but his soul is not stable. A mere ten years after his so-called defeat, bits of him were goo-ing out everywhere. Shinigami had to be dispatched. Magical children had to magic.
There are even rumors that what holds the worlds together right now is Juha Bach’s corpse. (If this is true, it tells you a lot about the Shinigami. They would rather have a dead Quincy, a madman who wanted the destruction of everything, than me sitting on the Empty Throne™.) From what I also understand both Ishida Uyru and Kurosaki Ichigo are alive and returned to the land of the Living.
TWO Quincy.
This is a problem because Quincy are humans and humans are mortal.
This should deeply concern the Soul Society, but it doesn’t seem to.
Why should it concern them? Because Juha Bach is unique among Quincy. When Quincy die, their Souls return to him, making him STRONGER.
If Ishida Uryu gets stabbed by a poisonous sewing needle and dies, the “A” Sternritter, with, mind you, the POWER of ANTHESIS, the power to trade any two points in time, that power RETURNS TO JUHA BACK. It doesn’t take a genius even of a low level like @kurotsuchisuggestions to imagine how this could be problematic.
In fact, was not Ishida Uryu made Bach’s heir apparent?
It seems when Ishida’s Soul returns to its master, all Hell will break loose… or the Soul King’s throne will suddenly be occupied by the Shinigami’s sworn enemy.
If the father, Ishida Ryuuken, is still alive, I believe that one still hates the Shinigami for the genocide we completed on his people. Not who *I* would vote for the king of the SHINIGAMI, but I guess that’s just one man’s humble opinion.
At any rate, then you have the other tangle, one Kurosaki Ichigo– a Human-Quincy-Fullbring-Hollow-[whatever else Urahara Kisuke may have cooked up] hybrid. @zangetsu-ggestions may even carry, from what I understand, a PIECE OF JUHA BACH’S SOUL, a self-insert, if you will. Literally.
It’s unclear to me if Kurosaki Ichigo’s soul would simply self-destruct what remains of Juha Bach, given that Hollow-ness is supposed to be poison to Quincy (with, of COURSE, the exception of Kurosaki himself).
There is also a scenario, then, where Kurosaki (after haven been hit by a bus or dying of old age) poison’s Bach’s remaining gooey bits, and suddenly finds himself the sole occupant of the Soul King’s throne.
A terrible end for such a noble spirit, but one could ALMOST imagine that was the plan the Soul Society had for the boy all along.
Regardless, Kurosaki will fight the job.
And I will still be ready and willing to take it.
What’s the average human male lifespan in Japan? 80 years?
That’s tomorrow for a Shinigami. So, I guess I’ll see you soon….
