♔ — ARM IN ARM,  Edelgard had guided the sweet summoner to her chambers,  ones Edelgard has become rather familiar with.  The smell of the air,  how the bed dipped underneath her.  She knew that Ingrid’s side of the bed was furthest from the door,  and that the side of the bed she slept on was just a little bit looser.  As Ingrid moves to get ready for sleep,  Edelgard quietly steps in.

    Edelgard is standing by the door,  watching as Ingrid changes into bedclothes,  and she giggles,  warmly,  when Ingrid speaks.  ❝  I shall do something better for you.  ❞  and she herself begins to ready for bed,  ❝  I’d like to kiss you all night,  Ingrid.  If you’d have me.  ❞

     “Huh–” Truthfully, he’s a little surprised at the request the summoner asks of him, head tilted slightly to look over his shoulder. His fingers slip from the straps of the saddle, the jingle of a buckle being made as it’s dropped and he hears the quiet growl from his mount ( to which he quiets him with a pat to his foreleg ), “You– Are you sure?” Oh, color the rider a little concerned as he turns on his heels, brow furrowed as he keeps his gaze fixed on Ingrid, “I don’t mind helping you out, y’know Apples, but I just really want to make sure you know what you’re getting into.”

     Don’t mind him lifting her up into his arms and pressing his own kiss to her cheek as well! And maybe, he’s going to spin around with her in his arms for a moment, keeping her close with a grin.

   it’s a ball. they’re to be having a ball. is it really so impossible to let the people of askr throw even one party without a tempest breaking lose?! ( of course not, that would go against everything loki stands for. )

Olberic knows not what sort of toxin must coat the daggers of Emblian soldiers, but that wasn’t entirely relevant. Many a time monsters of Orsterra dipped their weapons in such things to inflict drowsiness, confusion, et certera.

What mattered was that those blades cut into his skin (where they could, at least) and he was eventually beginning to feel unfocused and disoriented. He may have higher than average tolerance to poisons, but that doesn’t mean they are completely ineffective.

Yet it still confuses him when Anna offers to help him walk. Was it so obvious? Or... perhaps she simply knew already of the daggers. Aye, that was probably it. And yet still he wants to decline. 

“ ... Fine. ” he caves in the end, if only to give her peace of mind.

the prettiest of gilded cages were still cages- and for askr’s princess, the only key to the golden cage lay with the order of heroes.  “ i know. ” sharena’s voice is sober, quiet- as close to melancholy as the elder possibly could get, but still full of a kind understanding. “ i know all too well indeed. ”
