the masked prince lets out a sigh, his weariness bone deep. there’d been a part of him that had wanted to crash the party- well, perhaps ‘crash’ was too strong of a word. it’s just that- well, bruno had never formerly left the order, nor had he been kicked out, so perhaps, for just one night…

it had been a silly idea, in any case.

“we should head to the order, to give them a warning. hopefully it’s not too late to postpone the ball.”

   so it wasn’t just your imagination-- if bruno felt the ground quake for one horrifying moment, it’s likely hugh did too... wherever he is. a tempest is forming, about to put a damper on the one peaceful night the order of heroes has had for naga knows how long. ( actually, you’re not sure if naga knows either, despite her divine wisdom. she has been brought to askr too, if you’ve heard correctly. )

“if nothing else, their party wouldn’t be ruined. do you think could we make it in time?” you ask, glancing from the silver-haired prince to the tower of heaven just behind you. what little he can see of your expression behind your own mask is pensive. you want to warn them of the ensuing storm too... your father is in askr. your mother, too. your friends... to think their one night of fun would be ruined by more violence and bloodshed...

   though you’re worried all the same. the tempest will form regardless of whether or not the ball is postponed. another world will be sucked in, its heroes gathered without any clear idea of how to stop it. you’ve prided yourself on being able to help in these situations, even if your efforts end up focused elsewhere. while it’s just a detour to rewriting your future, saving people... really, truly saving people... feels good.

finally, lucina’s strengths are in swords, authority, and lances. her weaknesses are in heavy armour and axes. she has a budding talent in flying, as all of her potential mothers can reclass into a flying unit ( sumia IS one, olivia and maribelle have access to pegasus knight, sully can become a wyvern rider, and robin can do both. )

to recruit lucina, one must either raise her to a b-support, or achieve a c in swords and have a charm stat of at least 20. she will leave the party if crimson flower is chosen. she carries the parallel falchion with her, and it has a durability of 55. ( or as high as it can go in-game, to reference falchion being unbreakable in awakening. ) her personal skill is exalted blood, which allows lucina a chance to deal extra damage equal to 30% of her opponent’s defense, and heal her by 30% should her attack connect. the skill activation rate is her dexterity stat divided by two. so if she had 30 dexterity, her chance for exalted blood to proc is 15%.

in addition, during the 5 year timeskip, lucina will have cut her hair short. depending on her house, lucina’s role in the war phase will change. 

in azure moon, she will join the resistance against the empire led by houses gautier, fraldarius, and galatea. when sylvain, felix, and ingrid decide to return to the monastery, lucina follows.

in verdant wind, lucina will travel fodlan as a wandering mercenary to help and protect those suffering from the war. her rates are meager, merely enough to cover travel expenses while having a bit of coin saved up in case of emergency. she returns to the monastery after the alliance has reclaimed it, and pledges her aid to claude’s cause. 

in crimson flower and silver snow, she will side with the church despite her misgivings about rhea-- while she is sympathetic to edelgard and wishes to hear her out, lucina cannot condone all the blood on the emperor’s hands in the name of achieving her goals. she will travel with the knights of seiros in search of rhea in silver snow, and appear as an enemy unit later on in the crimson flower route-- where exactly she will be stationed will be determined when i play that route. she will die if she is defeated, but it would be possible to avoid her and thus spare her.

while it’s not exactly a crest (though most of fodlan simply assumes it to be one), lucina’s brand of the exalt would have a gameplay trait in her three houses verse-- in her case, when it activates it will allow her to dodge attacks on the enemy phase, as though she foresaw them. so basically it allows her to be shulk sometimes.

the inspiration from this comes from both legendary lucina’s future sight and the awakening skill from the great lord class in fates

   … that’s right… morgan remembers naught but his own name and your mother. the reprimand had fallen so easily from your lips, but you may as well be speaking to a stranger– your brother does not remember the countless summer nights in the castle courtyard, running around with jars in hand and owain close behind. your parents and aunt lissa laughed as they watched you play, and then… 

   you’d lost him, too. father died. mother vanished. your world crumbled around you so quickly, you felt as though you’d blinked and missed it. 

   your heart twists. you swallow down the flood of emotions that threatens to swallow your heart whole, and realize this is a chance to try and fill in some blanks for him. to make new memories, if nothing else. your brother may not remember his past, and perhaps he may never– but morgan still has his whole future ahead of him. you do not wish for all of his new memories of you to be formed on the battlefield.

“well, perhaps it wouldn’t hurt… just for a little bit. alright?”
