“Kero-Chan!” Sakura shouted as her Litleo dashed off. If they were home she would let him go off by himself since he would know how to get home, but since they were not she quickly chased after him. Pulling the tall grass aside she saw him sniffing excitedly around a blonde girl. “Koro-Chan!” she shouted again, approaching them. “That’s not how you make friends. I’m so sorry!”

“Alola Lillie,” Burnet said, a large smile on her face at the sight of blonde. She loved having her around. In fact she often teased Kukui that she was going to take Lillie as her own assistant. It just showed how much she had taken to the girl and somewhat viewed her as her own daughter. “I hope you aren’t here to tell me that the house has been damaged again.” It was something she usually expected when she got home but sometimes she did expect one of them to come to her lab and tell her about the more serious accidents. Those were usually followed by her giving her husband a few words. Oh was she glad that didn’t happen all that often.

        “Hey! Hey, are you a trainer? Do you have any Pokémon? Can I battle you? Isn’t that outfit kinda uncomfortable to travel around in? Are you from around here? Doesn’t that hat fly away all the time? How long have you been a trainer? Do you wanna see my strongest Pokémon?”

“Wha -- Lillie? You mean you’re really planning on leaving?”

Yeah, that surprise wouldn’t fade right away. It was enough to knock his usual, dumb cheeriness out of him and he had to give himself some time to recover from the news. Hau has to suck in a breath slowly, trying to keep himself from sobbing at the idea of her leaving. It was clearly already affecting him. Hopefully Lillie wouldn’t notice and question him about it. That would be embarrassing. He was just hoping they could do so many things together!

“Not right away, right? We still have time before you go to Kanto, right?”
