“Hold still, I want to try something.”
Sasha sits directly before him, right all up in his personal space, and stares.
Like a raccoon.
They inch slowly forward by degrees, their hands coming up and gripping either side of his face.
Then they kiss him. It’s so light, they could be a ghost.
Abruptly Sasha pulls back. “You did! You did eat it all!”
The smoking gun: the taste of chocolate.
"What do you want."
The words come out as harsh as they seem, and he does not hide the hardening of his expression as they come closer to him. He inches away, or starts to, before he feels stiffened, bolted to his chair, unable to move away. Or perhaps he just chose not to.
And then he feels it — barely.
Annoyance contorts his face, not anger or even offence. Just irritation. What did they want, and what exactly were they 'trying'?
The accusation alleviates some of the deep frowning and a rebuttal follows.
"... You are the one who told me about it and then left it out."

☁ : Describe how they would spend a stormy, overcast/rainy day.
Inside the van, or at a bar, probably. Nicky likes rain most of the time, but it makes it impractical to do the things they normally love to do, like people watch or work on their writing in the park.
✗ : Explain how they portray feelings of hostility or dislike.
This is kind of hard to answer because Nicky has a hard time disliking people. They're always finding the good in everyone, even those who are outright mean to them. Not that they can't dislike people, it's certainly happened before, but it takes a lot. I guess they're likely to give the "cold shoulder" treatment, or roll out a lot of passive-aggressive sarcasm. Or they'll just straight-up say they hate whoever it is, because Nicky doesn't have much of a filter, so if you're being a dick, they're likely to tell you so.
⊗ : What is something that causes them to question themself?
They don't, honestly. They just kind of roll with whatever. This question was more relevant when they were a kid, identifying strictly as a boy until they realized how unhappy it made them. Nicky's always playing with their identity, though, when it comes to fashions and stuff -- sometimes they want to dress like a punk rocker, other times like a junior high emo kid, sometimes like a princess and sometimes like a teenage girl who really likes crop tops and pink. I don't think Nicky knows what they really want, yet. They never got the chance to experiment as a teenager, so they're doing it as an adult.
♡ : Is there a certain scent that brings about nostalgia? If so, describe a memory this scent brings back.
Chlorine and wet concrete triggers a lot of semi-happy childhood memories (I say semi-happy because Nicky's childhood was a gigantic clusterfuck of problems). When it would get really hot, Zaria would take little Nicky to the local pool, but even when it would be too cold to swim, they would still hang out by the water together, reading books and playing games. Nicky would almost always fall asleep in one of the chairs left out, and Zaria would have to carry them back to the car. Sometimes Nicky would even pretend to fall asleep just to get Zaria to carry them. Nicky was around five at the time, Zaria around fourteen.
۞: Are there any inner demons they can never seem to get rid of? What are they?
Nicky's scared of committing to anyone or anything because what if they change their mind later? What if they meet someone and that someone wants to settle down, and Nicky doesn't want to? What if they choose a real career path and then are miserable in it? There's also the huge span of a neglectful childhood that they deal with, not understanding people whose parents love one another, whose parents loved them. Nicky and their sister aren't really that close, and Nicky's not even sure if their parents are still alive, so they've never had a stable family structure, never had those models showing them how to love someone. Most importantly, growing up with their parents taught them that marriage is a trap and the only person you can truly rely on is yourself. Basically all the wrong messages to give to a little kid.

James is plagued by feelings of inadequacy, and even if he knowshe’s adept at whatever task is before him, that doubt is a constantin the back of his mind.

It’s a difficult scent to describe: laundry, carpet cleaner, coffee, salt, thescent of a hundred students living in one building… If Seb were to walkback into his old dormitory, it would invoke a memory of a long, quiet conversation that talked him down from a very permanent decision.

There’s always work to be done. Always something to do, somethingto improve, to fix, to create. And there was something in him that revolted at standing still, that constantly pushed and pushed and pushed and screamed for Elliot to keep moving. Keep working until you drop.
