Zack arched an eyebrow at the laugh. Was it really that rare or different, to carry such a blade? It came to his attention, that the other was armed as well. He smiled back but once again, became very unsure of himself as the other spoke up. He blinked a few times and slightly tilted his head. He wasn’t sure he understood. “I--I see. I guess that explains the looks, I've been getting since getting off the boat..” As long as they didn’t think his eyes were freakish, that’s all that mattered to him. Maybe he’d finally found a place, where people wouldn’t call him a monster. “Hm, I can’t imagine not using my blade. I do know hand to hand, but I am better at the blade.”
Zack wondered if he stuck out, like a sore thumb. He was a lot taller then most of the humans walking around. His mako infused eyes-- was something else all together. This place-- seemed so different, then he had expected. He needed to learn, how things worked around here. Find a job as a mercenary or something close to it. His smile remained as he finally, made full eye contact with the other. He once again arched an eyebrow at hearing those words. “Dark arts? Is that what they call it here?” He let out a hum, not about to open his mouth and tell them, he wasn’t exactly what he seemed to be.
The last thing he wanted, was to find himself on the run again. He needed to be careful. “I’ve been training and wielding the blade, since I was 13 years old. I’ve had formal training, but I’m very interested in this dark art you spoke of.”
