â âââ Cloud could see the surprise color her face and then he watched it melt into pleasant contentment and amusement. It was a side he didnât often show othersâan almost playful, shy version of himself peeking out at the Keyblade Master.
Still, he wasnât going to go easy on her.
Then she was flying at him with her Keyblade held above her, abruptly. He quickly sprang and rolled neatly out of the way, popping onto his feet deftly, tumbling so that his sword stayed safely away from his body. He moved quickly despite his large weapon and his speed and crazy aerobatics were his true strengths. He used these two key features to help him wield an otherwise impossible weapon.
He was only a few paces from Aqua, but he used the precious moment to bring his hand to the bottom of his blade. There, inserted into three round niches, were colorful orbs, brightly gleaming in the failing light from a setting sun. His hand went to rest upon a golden orb, the liquid inside swirling like misty amber.Â
And a sphere of lightning was shooting from the end of his sword, which he flung toward Aqua. This was a Thundara spell summoned from the mysterious orb on his blade. It quickly zipped to the blue-haired woman, crackling and sizzling as it streaked onward, as fast as a few blinks.Â
Meanwhile, Cloud was dashing closely behind it, sword tucked near to his chest, hoping to overwhelm her with the lightning and a flurry from his sword.
Aquaâs failed surprise attack caused her to land awkwardly on both ankles. The rough impact made her stumble forward  but she was quick to twirl on her toes into more defensive position. She could only hope that Cloud hadnât seen her short tumble. Aqua decided to be more cautious for the remainder of this fight.
The glow of a familiar electrical spell caught her attention next. It was too fast to dodge, but that wouldnât be an issue. Instead, she held out her blade and allowed the attack to clash against her keyblade. The spell was null against her enchanted weapon. Â She was too proficient in magic to be harmed by such attacks.Â
However, as the energy rolled harmlessly around her body, Cloud slammed into her with a strength she wasnât expecting. In fact, she wasnât expecting Cloud at all! All her attention had been on the Thundara spell. She was lucky that her Keyblade was in between her and Cloud, or she could have easily been sliced in half!Â
How could one fight against such a massive blade anyway? It was bigger than Cloud himself!
Heated sparks flew from the clash of their weapons as she pushed with two hands against the might of his sword. She gritted her teeth and pushed with all her muscles and yet she couldnât get past Cloudâs inhuman strength. Her feet were being pushed back into the dirt as the muscles in her arms began to tremble. Â At this rate, she would be crushed beneath the impressive weight. So she decided to play into her strengths and hopefully get him to back off.
âRAGING STORM!â The air was quick to heat as circling pillars of flame erupted around Aqua. Rapidly growing brighter and hotter by the second. It was one of her stronger spells, one that guaranteed to eat up her magical energy. Yet she needed escape Cloudâs pushing attack and give herself distance.
âIâm not giving up yet!â
