can you send your ooc contact separately to the mods and then write in your app's ooc section that the contact is with you?

Yes. If you send your OOC contact separately to your application, your OOC contact will not be posted by Staff upon acceptance. If you choose to keep your OOC contact private in this manner, you may list your OOC contact section as "with the moderators".

Please be aware that your OOC alias and listing of other active muses in Aevum Isles must be up to date and filled out on the application regardless of your OOC contact's status.

if i move a canon point forward, i see that i need to make a post for our partners... but do i have to note it somewhere else on their blog permanently (like the stats page)??

Updating your character's canon point (found on the application page) is good enough! Nothing else needs to change unless the canon point drastically changes the character's about section, personality section, or any powers and abilities related to the canon point shift.

Your application (and statistics page) is intended to be a reference guide not only for Staff during Inbox Run hours, but for your fellow members who may want to get a better understanding of your character.

When it comes to abilities, are we allowed to use wording from wikis and other such sources to explain?

Hiya! While there is no hard and fast rule, Staff recommendation will always err on the side of rewriting the powers in your own words. However, you will not be penalized for copying and pasting.

Wikias tend to be inaccurate to the actual powers possessed, either due to misinformation, misinterpretation, or even missing abilities. When applying for a character, Staff reviews the character's abilities in accordance to what we consider an active or passive ability, with any wiki entries, or official sources being used as supplementary material in case we are having difficulty interpreting what was written down.

Nyello! Is it safe to assume that fresh characters don't really know much about Aevum Isles or anything outside of the canon information they should know from their respective verses?

That is exactly correct. Anything your muse would learn would come from their own experiences. They may learn information about the Isles by reading things in-universe, exploring, talking to NPCs (or other Echoes), so on and so forth

Aevum Isles does have a sideblog called Aevum Daily that occasionally features in-universe "tweets" (called: "Hummingbird".) and the occasional, optional quest ripe for the taking. During Blue Moons and Campaigns, the Aevum Daily blog may also feature additional lore in our "Arcanus Archives" tag. So information may be gleaned from that resource as well.

Do muses on hiatus still get emblems for the activity checks?

When a muse is on hiatus, they will only gain emblems IF they met the minimum activity requirements for that month. If your muse is on semi-hiatus, or posts a hiatus for the upcoming month, this would apply to you.

If a muse has been on hiatus and DID NOT meet the required activity minimum, they would only safe from getting blipped. They would not earn emblems since they hadn't earned them. Muses who eintonter a full hiatus fall under this category.

in terms of new blog criterias i want to hear about having your app on a pop-up page. like, if it's marked properly as a link and does have its own hyperlink, but the front link makes it into a pop-up. Is this okay?

So, yes! As you have stated, having the pop-up page be appropriately marked makes it acceptable per the updated guidelines found here.
