By all accounts, it had happened gradually and after the countless of times Arthur had gone over it all in the privacy of his own mind, the millions of ways he had twisted and turned it to make sense of it, he came back to the same conclusion. Elia was beautiful and gracious even as a child with her dark silky hair, alert eyes and deep warm skin; those qualities had only grown brighter with age despite her poor health but it was not the obvious beauty that drew him to her like a moth to a burning flame in the dark.

Hello, all! We are happy to report that we’ll be hosting the second-annual Arthur x Elia fanworks week, from July 5 through July 11.
All kinds of fanworks are welcome! We track the main tag, but encourage you to include #aeweek within the first five tags of your post to more easily find and sort the entries. If you’d like to participate anonymously, you can use the submit form. You can also send in a specific request and we’ll do our best to get it filled.
Below are suggested themes to follow for each day, of which you can choose as many or as few as you’d like:
Day 1: Childhood. Growing up together, first meeting, betrothal trip, dynamics with parents, etc.
Day 2: Quotes. These can be from anywhere, such as ASOIAF, movies or TV shows, song lyrics, poetry, etc.
Day 3: 7 types of love. Eros (romantic), philia (friendship), etc. Click here for the full list and examples.
Day 4: Mythology and folklore. Arthurian, fairy tales, gods, supernatural beings, heroes and villains, red thread of fate, etc.
Day 5: Sins and virtues. Lust/chastity, gluttony/temperance, greed/charity, sloth/diligence, wrath/patience, envy/kindness, pride/humility.
Day 6: Modern AU. College AU, coffee shop AU, politics AU, bodyguard AU, zombie AU, Regency AU, etc.
Day 7: Free day. Anything goes!
There’s really only one rule, which is likely self-evident: The fanwork must center on the Arthur x Elia ship. They don’t have to be currently together (who doesn’t love some good angst and pining?), or even get together at all, but the ship must be at the forefront.
