ABOUT:
The life that was laid out before you was planned to a tee. Meaning, in other words, that it would be the same life as everyone in your lineage before you, a parade of the same boring parties, the same boring people, the same boring responsibilities. Being born into money afforded you everything - but the exhausting, crushing expectations, those came free. As you grew, your golden cage seemed to shrink around you shoulders, tighter and tighter, ‘til you could hardly breathe. You could settle; as your siblings had, as your parents, before them, did. That, you knew. It would be easy. The path of least resistance, as they say. But you couldn’t bear it. So, to everyone’s surprise - including your own, perhaps - you left. You packed your finest things in a bag, to keep if you could or sell if you had to, and passed through your parents’ doors, out into the great wide world, to see what you could make of yourself.
Your family has not been happy with your decision, and, to be honest… neither have your audiences. Your performances fall short, amidst the wonders of Paris. But your famous last name is enough to keep the crowds coming, and curious. This was your dream, though! Pity it’s not nearly as easy as you had expected it to be. What next? Will you return to your parents, and follow in their footsteps? Or will you risk losing what little you have left, giving show business another shot, and another, and another? How much more disappointment can you - and your audiences - take?

Maybe they don’t pay that well, but. You’re hoping a gig at such a popular venue will offer returns in other ways - exposure, networking, all that. You’re hoping.
