Badly. I mean, she tries and likes to think she succeeds, but she tends to have a stronger impression in flirting when she isn’t trying. Offhanded, innocent comments can usually have a double meaning and unintentionally she’s good at catching attention in such a way. Or at least, it’s worked out in her favor before. Might well again.

Yes! I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t, honestly. I’m lucky to be in a group of writers who encourage each other to stretch out of their comfort zone and just go completely fucking ham, just absolutely apeshit, which makes me happy because, in my opinion, that kind of writing makes for the most investment and buy-in from everyone involved.

Does your OC make a lot of excuses? For themselves? Others?

Absolutely not. Excuses don’t accomplish anything but making it harder to get to the root of the problem, which can cause a lot of problems in any line of work. If you mess up you mess up and should be honest about it so something can be done about the problem.

Do they have a large or small group of friends?

It’s very hard to say that Mekia even has friends. They’re more like people who he knows won’t turn on him at the moment and that he can safely drink with. If he had a choice? He’d probably prefer a small group.

Does your OC have a moral code? If not, how do they base their actions? If so, where does it come from, and how seriously do they take it?

He does, it’s just a very loose one. On his own he doesn’t like to harm innocents or people who aren’t actively doing things to others but when it comes to a job it’s all out the door. He’s done a lot of terrible things under the name of the Alliance and doesn’t regret it but he wouldn’t have done those things on his own.

And as a default he is more likely to trust commoners than anyone with money.

“Swim? I can and do. Or, well, had. I haven’t exactly tried it lately. Much as Meilili assures me the leg is treated for the water, I don’t want to risk rusting it in seawater if I don’t need to. Back before that all happened swimming was a regular thing. Surfing as well.”
