I’m trying to prepare a few décors for what’s coming.
Don’t be jealous, Nate. Even with a few more grey hair, you still look as dashing as ever.
In non-sims years, that would be roughly 58 for Seth, 55 for Nathaniel and 54 for Ivy.
Seth with a few more years to his name. That guy’s like red wine, he’s just getting better with age…
I’ve seen that meme around and I couldn’t resist tagging myself. :p It’s the 4 variations of a character thingy, and of course I chose Nathaniel (because I’m fucking biased). I already have several AU versions of him, that might’ve helped! :D
I know the initial idea was to change the hairstyle but I like to generally keep the same hairstyle for one character throughout his life. But I did try out a few different hairdos when it was absolutely necessary. :)
1. Street Thug AU Nate - Maybe someday I’ll write that AU because I friggin’ love the concept. What if I told the same story with the same characters, but with a huge twist in their personalities?
2. Happy AU Nate - This is Barnacle Bay Nate, if he had been able to choose his path in life. He is not very different from his usual self, just lankier and even more bookish. He looks even more like Ash.
3. Vampire Nate - I turned him and Ivy into vampires for Halloween a few years ago and it’s still one of my favorite photo shoots ever!
4. Samurai Nate - I once said that Nate should’ve been a Japanese military in his past life. Well, bushido suits him well. I’m in love.
Sam as a kid
Sam has always been very active bordering on restless. Playing soccer...
...and playing truant. She doesn’t like constraints and obligations.
Her grand-father chose to channel her excess energy and has Sen teach her self-defense and firearms very early on.
She loves it.
And her fearlessness comes in handy sometimes. Maybe she saved her father’s life that day?
She’s also fond of books (her favorite author being Tolstoy).
My favorite shots from 2019
It was about time I posted a 2019 wrap-up, don’t you think? :D
First, here are the photo shoots that I liked best:
Gender-swapped Sam and Ash, of course. I simply must complete their story...
That Golzine AU is still bugging me. Should I do something about it?
And of course, the impossible Golzine family portrait. I love those guys so much, you have no idea.
This one is inbetween story and photo shoots. :) I love Sam and Noah’s chemistry and answering that tag was so fun!
On to my favorite (published) story shots of 2019. :) Saturnorn made for such an awesome background and I can’t wait to finally shoot in Cronor. There are also many unpublished pics shot in 2019 but that I’d rather not post in order not to spoil anything.
Maybe I should leave you with 2 unpublished shots, as a teaser... :p
Stole this from @in-sempiternam because it was just hilarious. I included dear Kojub as per her request! :D
Sam is heir to the Golzine mob clan, a financial empire built on illegal money obtained via underground activities and trading. Sam herself is a thief specialized in art trafficking but ultimately will be head of the whole business.
As a child and teenager, she was very close to her father Nathaniel, who made sure that she received parental affection and moments of freedom despite the strict and advanced education required for any Golzine child. Although she is very similar to her mother Ivy in personality, she shares with her father only the burden of being a leader. She used to see him as a role model and had unshakeable faith in him.
That trust is shattered when Nathaniel reveals that he has had a son with another woman, at about the same time Sam was born. That son named Ashley turns out to be… Sam’s boyfriend. This of course leads to the end of their relationship, and a profound heartbreak on both sides. Sam holds her father for responsible and since that fateful day, makes him pay with bitter words and painful communication.
Sam and Ash met through a common friend of theirs, Jay. He is a loudmouthed rebel with a big heart and a big childhood crush on Sam. Ash is the lonely hermit and Jay’s self-anointed best friend. The trio hung out regularly during their teenage years, until prom night during which Jay surprise-kissed Sam (and got hit for it) and Sam and Ash started dating. Ashamed, jealous and awkward Jay breaks off all ties. In reality, he misses his friends but as time passes, doesn’t know how to apologize.
Despite her spunky and sometimes reckless personality, Sam is deeply in need of support and tenderness. She keeps contact with Ash because he brings her some sense of stability and self-acceptance that she no longer finds in her father. While breaking society’s taboos has never been an issue for Sam, Ash sees it differently and she wants to respect that.
