omg totally agree with everything you wrote, especially those nope tropes. i hate it when people write arthur as some helpless, whimpering character that just needs eames to protect him. it is just so far from canon, and kind of insulting.

Exactly. Oh Arthur XD Even though, of course, the same character in their teenage years would act and feel differently than as adult, and the same  person would act differently with other life experiences or under different circumstances (millions of AUs) - for me, there are certain limits to changing character traits.
