what did he mean they didn’t carry frozen mice? eli just did not believe that. why? because he had bought frozen mice from here a dozen and more times. this guy HAD to be NEW. this was rather annoying. he just needed to feed his snakes. dealing with an hungry and annoyed ball python was never fun.

    “ then can someone PLEASE direct me to the right pet store?” the question was a sarcastic one -- one asked allowed but not particularly in search of an answer.

          he didn’t respond immediately, instead choosing to keep the majority of his concentration on dressing the wound. he wasn’t sure where this sense of empathy came from━   if it even was empathy. ( it likely wasn’t. ) but the boy rarely took the time to dress his own injuries, let alone someone else’s.  perhaps it was a sense of obligation? as if by coming to him with broken skin, he somehow felt compelled to look after the injuries?  or perhaps he didn’t want to hear complaints about pain or something rudimentary like that.    or perhaps he liked her. perhaps he was interested- just barely interested enough to offer the lightest bit of effort. 

          finally, he sighed.    ❛ i can give you something for your lips too.    but if any of it gets in your mouth, there’s a 28% chance you’ll die and a 72% chance that your liver will collapse, resulting in death. ❜
