Some would argue that it was not the ideal weather for soccer training, but Elias didn’t care about such things. Movement and clothes could keep warm, and he’d take a shower later anyway. Anything that kept him busy and moving was welcome, and so he was not one of the people to use the weather as an excuse to stay inside. The welcome ache of sore muscles carried him off the soccer field, and he pushed his hair away from his eyes as he crossed paths with a figure. A grin grew on his lips, his usual signature sign for his good mood. “Great evening, isn’t it? Enjoying the show?”

At this point in her educational career, skipping class had become more of a style for Mai than a rare occurrence. Her grades were still amazing and the professors liked her too much to do anything about. So of course she wouldn’t waste her Wednesday morning away in a classroom, instead sitting on a few canopied steps with a coffee and croissant in hand. Noticing steps coming closer, she saw no reason to move, instead just arching a perfectly styled brow. “What are you doing out here on this wonderful rainy morning? Shouldn’t you be in class?”

avery found it a little odd they they wanted to come down to the beach during such a cold time of the year. winters in new york were no joke, let alone next to the freezing water that crashed on the lightest sand he had ever seen. it was a monday, his classes were over and he had gotten a text half way through the middle of the day that asked to hang out. what the hell? he told himself he had nothing better going on, nothing more exciting than just going home and probably crashing into his pillow for a few hours. upon pulling up into the parking lot and walking his expensive shoes down towards the sand was where he saw the individual sitting next to a burning pile of wood. “who the hell starts a fire at four in the afternoon?” he laughed, sitting next to them. “you also had to choose the coldest day of the week to drag me down here?”

Her fingers linger right over her exposed collarbone where a tiny “c” crafted from gold and diamonds rests. It was ‘congratulations you made it through high school` gift from mamãe and while it doesn’t hold any particularly sentimental value she mindlessly places it around her neck most mornings. Her eyes find the person sitting in front of her at the café– loud, crowded, Calista’s eyes squint slightly as they watch lips moving, creating words whose sounds her ears cannot reach... or will not. Who cares if it’s either of those, honestly? A glass is set on the table next to them by some waitress she’s never seen before, a pretty brunette with a cute half-done bun Calista can just tell she’d spent at least twenty minutes perfecting. She smiles at the sight for a second until it becomes a frown because someone’s knocked off her purse from the back of her chair– “Hey” she lets out with furrowed brows.
he sat on the steps of one of the larger buildings on campus, eating out of the generic cardboard boxes that the dining hall gives out to students which included mediocre fries and the same chicken tenders they’ve served everyday of the school year so far. “i personally find it kind of bullshit that they stop serving breakfast at like 11am, i’d prefer soggy waffles over these soggy fries pretty much.. any day.”

after the day she’d had, lane could use a drink. the start of the semester was always a doozy - shuffling through syllabi, determining what textbooks will and will not be necessary, and trying to juggle some semblance of a social life ? few could do it with grace. lane was not one of those few. the blonde let out a muffled groan as she tugged the door of birdie’s open, doc martens dragging against the flooring as her brown eyes scanned the room for someone - anyone - she may know. without much luck, she meandered on over to the bar and began perusing the menu. god, what did she want ? lane allowed a polite smile to unfurl across her lips as the bartender made their way to her. “could i get a blue moon?” she asked, opting for beer against her better judgement. sure, a tom collins sounded great - but something about a game of pac-man and a beer just felt so right.
