Meanwhile, Silvally is confused on why all of this was such a big deal, but whatever. She spends enough time with him and the other defenders anyway.

It is the Arcanine, once again.

Dulse watched the canine behind his visor, making sure to put at least ten feet of distance between him and the Fire-Type. Not like it couldn’t cross that distance in mere seconds if it willed it, but at least, like this, he had time to release his Naganadel from its ball if things went south.

“... Hello,” He said.

Were Arcanine intelligent? He vaguely remembered reports saying that they had, at least, the same level of intelligence as a Poipole.

At least, he thought so.

“... Who is a good boy?”

He really wished he had Zossie for this. Zossie always knew what to do with... native Pokemon.

Morty knew best to not get close to a creature like this- after all, fire-types weren’t really his specialty. The last thing he needed was to get himself burned- or his clothes turned into ashes.

The gym-leader knows he won’t get an answer out of the pokemon, but at the same time he couldn’t leave them here.

Maybe another fire-type pokemon might be able to help.

A Chandelure proceeded to reveal themselves- letting out an eerie chime, and greeting their master.

The ghost-type’s gaze landed upon the Arcanine- was an opponent? What was he supposed to do? Regardless he carefully floated towards the other pokemon.
