Animals first on the second.

This post marks the start of my 24 hr fast for the afots movement. Raising awareness for the animals who go so much longer than that without food or water, before they are sent to their deaths. Especially lately I would like to draw attention to the agriculture ships that were stuck in the suez canal behind the freight boat that got stuck, for SIX days.

Watching 6.10 again and that lovely totally normal moment where Samuel is talking to Dean about working for Crowley and I had a thought.

What did Mary think of this when she did come back?

Mary, who sacrificed herself for her boys at any opportunity.

Mary, who grew up hunting, was probably taught by Samuel that what's dead is best left dead.

Mary, who struggled coming back as it was later on, when her boys were better adjusted, had seen more, were ready to grow to see her as more than just "mom". S6 Sam and Dean? It would not have gone well at all.

She would have hunted until something killed her, and she would refuse to have contact with Samuel. She wouldn't kill him, that would be a relief - no contact? So he has to live not knowing if she's alive/dead/turned into something. His own personal hell.
