Addition of Special Guest Territory
Previously we are considering to invite the territories of non-African country in the African continent, and we made a poll asking if the audience would like to have them included.
As the interest vote have concluded, due to popular demand (and adjustment of suggestions from the poll as well) we are welcoming Special Guest Territories! Please welcome Madeira, France d'outre-mer, and Canary Islands!
As these territories are located in African continent yet connected to countries not part of Africa, they could send songs from its constituent country; this would mean Canary Islands could send songs with artist from Spain, Madeira from Portugal, and France d'outre-mer from France. The rest of the rules around the songs and artists are still applied, however.
Note that not all of these territories will be competing in an edition, meaning only one of them will be able to participate in one edition of Africavision. A territory will need to cool down for an edition before it can be claimed again. For instance, if Madeira was chosen by someone this edition, the territory wouldn't be able to participate the following edition, leaving the available territories to two selection: Canary Islands and France d'outre-mer; Madeira would then be available again for selection on two editions after it participated.
Participants who wished to claim any of these territories could put Special Guest Territory on the signup form. Anyone who gets the said option will be contacted to decide which territory you'd like to claim this edition!
