Hi! I just wanted to ask if anyone has any insight on the relationship between nature/nurture and MBTI types. Given MBTI is a symbolic representation explaining the way people process things, but, in general, are those processes more dependent on nature/genetics or nurture/experiences? Do there tend to be correlations between the types of parents and the types of their children? There might not be enough data to answer my questions, but I'd love to hear what any of you think! Thanks! :)

that’s a debate that has a lot of different arguments and you may want to examine them all before taking a side

but (this is just what i think don’t take this as fact), i think that you spend your first three years or so kind of exploring all the functions and then you eventually decide on one that’s gonna be your dominant function and then after a few more years or so your auxiliary function begins to show itself and then bam you have a type enjoy it

apparently when I got drunk visiting my friend in australia, i did a pretty impressive australian accent. but when I’m sober, i feel like I’d be insulting anyone with whatever accent I did if I ever tried it out loud, so I don’t really do it.

of course! i usually try to smile when i pass someone in the street, unless I’m just not feeling it and look down instead

i did not sleep last night actually, so no.

well i didn't get to sleep because i had 2 papers and a presentation to write/prepare for today, my housemates left the living room a mess, and i drank spoiled milk by accident so no, not really. but I’m sure the rest of my week will turn out better, hopefully
