Pal of mine made this, and I thought it was an interesting discussion topic!
I guess I’d say my hair is a reflection of who I am, whether I would choose for it to be or not. Whether I cut and style it to make a statement, or do nothing with it (which is also a choice); the colour and texture and what it ‘says’ about my likely heritage... And those attributes and choices are in the context of what others expect to see based on my age, ethnicity gender, career, perceived social status...
I also guess it depends whether you read “represents” as being an active or passive thing, and different people have interpreted it a variety of ways here, which in itself is pretty interesting I think!
