Jukebox Appreciation Week 2021 Prompts Masterlist

We’ll be sharing each day’s prompt during the week itself, but for those of you who want to get a head start on creating for the week and want more details about the themes, the full list is below the cut! These prompts are just some starting points to work with. Feel free to make your own interpretation of each day’s theme.

Every day has prompts for creators, as well as prompts for fans who don’t plan to create content but still want to participate. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to drop them in our ask box!

Day 1 (May 24): Canonverse Day

Creator Prompts: Write a canon-compliant or canon-divergent fic or headcanon. Create a visual work celebrating your favorite moments or missing moments from canon, or imagining ways in which canon might diverge. Create a fanwork of your favorite canonverse fanwork.

Fan Prompts: Make a post about the moment that made you fall in love with this ship. Share your favorite canonverse fanworks. Make your own posts, or reblog and add on to our posts here and here.

Day 2 (May 25): Alternate Universe Day

Creator Prompts: Write an alternate universe fic or headcanon. Put Jukebox in a crossover universe of your choice. Create a fanwork inspired by your favorite AU. Draw parallels between JatP and other favorite works. Pair Jukebox canon moments with quotes from other series/books/movies.

Fan Prompts: Tell creators about the Jukebox AUs you'd like to exist. Share your favorite AUs and/or fanworks based on AUs. Make your own posts, or reblog and add on to our posts here and here!

Day 3 (May 26): Center Stage Day

Creator Prompts: Pick a character in the ship to take center stage! Write a fic or headcanon about Jukebox from one character’s perspective, whether it’s Julie, Luke, or an outsider. Draw one of the characters in their natural habitat, or make a gifset or aesthetic celebrating your favorite part of Luke or Julie. Celebrate the part of one of the characters that you think the other admires the most.

Fan Prompts: Discuss your favorite aspects of either character. Shout out a creator who you think captures either Luke or Julie (or both) particularly well. Make your own posts, or reblog and add on to our posts here, here, and here!

Day 4 (May 27): Retro Day

Creator Prompt: Jukebox in the 90s (or even further back, if you’re feeling timey-wimey)

Fan Prompts: Recommend some of your favorite older fics, or reblog older gifsets, fanart, and headcanons! Either share your own rec list or reblog and add on to our post here.

Day 5 (May 28): Eats & Beats Day

Creator Prompt: Jukebox + food and/or music

Fan Prompt: Fill out this JatP food and music “this or that!”

Day 6 (May 29): Four Seasons Day

Creator Prompt: Jukebox + seasons/weather. Create fanworks that focus on Jukebox in a particular season or weather.

Fan Prompts: Make a post about the seasonal moments you would like the series to incorporate. Share your favorite seasonal fanworks. Make your own posts, or reblog and add on to our posts here and here!

Day 7 (May 30): Legends Day

Creator Prompt: Create fanworks about Jukebox in the future when they’ve made it big and have to thank Principal Lessa in their Grammy acceptance speech.

Fan Prompt: Give love to your favorite Jukebox legends in the fandom by making a post shouting out creators of Jukebox fanworks, or tag them on our post here!
