There’s a small sniffle, and a quiver of her little lip as she looks up to her father.

“If I’m small, daddy, then who’s gonna protect Evan?”

Evan, not much of an age gap between the two and utterly attached at the hip since day one. Neither did well with making friends, Elizabeth was too brash and bold while Evan was much too fragile, and so they filled that void with each other. Mike probably never formed such a strong attachment because that age gap was much larger.

Lavinia couldn’t shake the feeling that he was.....doing his best to avoid her. A feeling that bubbled and twisted in her gut very often as of late. When it had started she’s not sure, but she never felt a need to ask. He was a good father, all be it busy, to their children. All she could ever want was a good life for them, and so how did it matter what worries she felt?

“Before you go, you should probably take a look at this.”

She often did the books and papers for Henry and William, when she wasn’t working, because being a librarian gave one a knack for paper work. 

“You and Henry have payed twice more then normal for the pizza ingredients this time. It’s still the same amount and ordered from the same place, but you’ve been paying way more. Before you ask I still have the papers from last time I did this, so I know the numbers are way off.”
