have been scared of opening social media recently since I'm not sure about posting while I'm panic-getting into Warhammer 40k lore before graduation. But I did exchange one or two thoughts with people during tfcon LA about prowl's character across different continuities...The following is me ranting about outrageously obvious or random things - out of the opposite of boredom.

Although writers often portray him distinctively different, I try to view idw prowl as a single, coherent character, and I also seek continuity among him and other prowls as a whole(Maybe not tfa prowl, yet.) Cus I know his characterization in idw (mostly nr's and jro's) was highly impacted by Marvel UK. It's also highly possible that there was a whole secret crucible of character-understanding on UK side of the fandom that we're soon bout to find out once jro's documentation of 80s UK tf fanfic comes out me thinks. Aside from that it's just interesting to imagine prowl in other continuity having some relation with idw him(well the most popular feature is praxian orphan me thinks.) There's one fragment of prowl from wings universe featuring a squad of prowl clones&drones whose altmode are formula-1 cars that look like McLaren in the 90s (!!) Haven't read but from what I saw, Wing universe aimed to unify all the timelines and works into one continuity.

Which makes me think. Cus I have a relatively narrower perspective. 1, I didn't become tf fan as a child, nor did I grow up with these toys; 2, I'm approaching the ip from a fan-artist type of POV, which means what I create tends to be more of a fanart, not transformers art(???)(but what exactly is transformers art? thats's the problem;) 3, not familiar with related cultural context. It's very time-consuming to dig into all the fun (publications, who made wings comics..nvm) things happened in the past, such as marvel UK. But somehow when looking at it, the vague line between fanart fanart and transformers fanart bugs me a little too much. Maybe it's just a matter of personal taste - funny enough, I find it strangely challenging to wrap my head around.

Now I only wish I had thought about these before tfcon. at least I would have the motivation to, idk, lead a life...

Even though it's words leave a bitter after taste in your mouth, makes you throat close up; you still crave the sick happiness you derive from it.

I find it really romantic, in a grotesque way.

- callum is so broken and i think hes such an interesting character to analyze. like the thoughts of 'if you could feel everyones emotions all the time, you would have to shut off your own or you would fucking shatter'

- hc libby is a lesbian and belen deserved better

- libby is imo the most cruel and manipulative person of the six. it was true in the first book its true now

- tho we love a corruption arc

- ngl kinda hope ezra lives. like did he do shitty things? yes. should you kidnap ur ex to 'save the world'? probably not. did i disagree with some of his philosophy and reasonings.... next question. also the fact that i think that that interaction would be really fucking fascinating. (i just want to have him and atlas yell at eachother more so i can critique their relationship more)

- parisa is and always will be the queen of my heart. i want more callum and parisa moments im the next book because i think theyre so similar and seeing their banter cracks me up

- if libby and tristan end up together i will literally cry and throw up and shit my pants in rage they are AWFUL together.

- belen deserved better pt 2

- i think reina didnt do much this book (other than possibly draft a damn pantheon) so im hoping we see her research come to fruition in the next book

- suddenly i love dalton? like him and parisa burning it to the ground? mania? madness? im living for it

-callum x tristan supremacy. they remind me of those broken plates that you mend with gold and they become more beautiful

- does anyone remember all the shit callum said about the 6 in the first book?

the way that all of this is being brought up again in TAP is beautiful

- callum is on his way to some sort of redemption/selfless arc i can TASTE IT and i crave it.

- everyone is hot. all the time. it hurts me

- blake is great at gaslighting me into making me think i understand any of the mathematic scientific bs they talk about at any given time

- theyre all so broken and in need of therapy

- i want callum to verbally destroy adrian caine

- i want all of them to succeed in their funky lil goals and become gods (except libby)

- speaking of libby- i think shed be a great villain

started watching Inuyasha for the first time and im obsessed with how kagome says mama. like idk the Japanese voice actress is magic. it’s so endearing. so sweet. it transforms me. kagome calls out to her mom and im suddenly 10 years old wearing my pink sleeping beauty nighty running into my mom’s arms. i can’t remember what made me feel so sad.

OH. But Paul Brahms being referenced as the guy controlling things "behind the curtain" as a nod to Polonius hiding behind the curtain in Hamlet is clever.

The Whole World is Watching

“There’s something else I can’t stop thinking about.”

“What’s that?”

“Just how different you and Walker are,” Bucky says, sitting up and against the back of the couch. “You wanted to reason with Karli, talk to her, instead of looking for a fight like Walker did. And from the sounds of it, you were getting to her, Sam. Maybe this all could have ended if Walker hadn’t charged in like he did. That’s what makes you so different. Walker knows one thing, and that’s combat, but you...you know how to talk to people, how to really connect and understand them. I think if we had more people like you making the big decisions, we wouldn’t have so many problems.”

Sam’s heart clenches at hearing that, and the sincerity in Bucky’s voice only makes it cut deeper.

“I appreciate you saying that, but we don’t know if I could have changed her mind.”

“But at least you tried.”
