I'm gonna be processing this book for like. The next 5-7 business days
THEY'RE PUTTING MY BOY ON A COMIC BOOK COVER THIS IS NOT A DRILL
why'd they call the planet Akiva...?
The Mandalorian REALLY needs to confirm exactly when it takes place because there’s a lot that I want clarification on
Mandalorian is supposed to be 9-10 Years ABY
Battle of Jakku is supposed to be 5 Years ABY
Brendol Hux escaped Jakku with Grand Admiral Rae Sloane after the death of Gallius Rax
So basically what I really want to know is:
WHERE IS GRAND ADMIRAL RAE SLOANE?!?!
WHY ISN’T SHE PART OF THE SHADOW COUNCIL?!?! She was last seen with Hux! She’s a founding member of The First Order!
Random shit I love about the Aftermath trilogy
I get that these books weren't what people expected when they came out, but please consider:
Temmin's aunts are just that. His aunts.
Usually I don't particularly care about the author's gender but Rae Sloane, a female leader in a council meeting made me double check the cover. Like being talked over, not being let finish a sentence? This is the female experience™
Pronouns. It's science fiction, a vast galaxy that has enough space for any number of pronouns. They/them is just the tip of the iceberg, try zhe/zher

Sweet Han&Leia moments
Sinjir Rath Velus
My revisit of Star Wars novels has cleared the OT and between The Princess and the Scoundrel, the Aftermath Trilogy and the Alphabet Squadron trilogy, I am remembering why I love the year between Endor and Jakku. Also, while the former book is about a straight romance because Han/Leia, I do enjoy the amount of LGBT Star Wars in the latter two trilogies. Hell, even The Princess and the Scoundrel was unapologetic about gay couples around our main characters (because Beth Revis kicks ass like that). Also, can we PLEASE start a therapy group for Sinjir and Yrica for "ex Imperial LGBT who had to deal with a ton of undeserved BS after defecting to the New Republic"? Maybe get Dr. Aphra in that group for good measure?
