Looking up at the sky, Louella thought about the day she reunited with Angeal and Genesis. It was the day she also met Zack, her first boyfriend. She fell in love almost instantly and she would often hang out with him whenever he wasn’t busy, which in turn ended up with hanging out with Cloud as well occasionally. She’d started dating Zack a few months after meeting him.
They had their ups and downs, but they always worked through them. After several months, Cloud became a Soldier as well.
One day, after going on a mission together, Cloud returned from it at her door instead of Zack. In that moment she knew, Zack had died during the mission.
She broke down holding onto Cloud.
From then on, their friendship grew supporting one another through their grief.
Now , nearly two years after Zack’s death, she still misses him but she had started to move on, her feelings changing from platonic to more for Cloud. She knows Zack would be happy for her, but she hesitates to tell cloud clearly how she feels. Not because she is insecure like how she used to be, but because it might put cloud in an awkward position, if he doesn’t feel the same. She doesn’t like to make him uncomfortable. However, given that they both work jobs that could have one of them not return, she should definitely make her mind up, if she doesn’t want to have any regrets. The sound of familiar footsteps brings her out her thoughts turning to Cloud with a smile.
“Welcome back Cloud, you hungry? I have food ready. It’s stew and bread, has everything you need after a mission.”
