Garden update: this sad Spathyphyllum has had the same 5 leaves for literally a year. It's a part of a huge beautiful plant that came from my grandma's funeral a couple of yeas ago, which is why I haven't just thrown it out. I don't really even like peace lilies. The big pot just kept dying back and dying back and I kept repotting and changing the medium and removing rotten parts and relocating for different light/temp and this is all I'm left with. I think it had been kind of chronically dry for a while after the last time I lost a bunch of it to rot, but it didn't like that either. So now I'm trying growing it in water with expanded clay for support the clay balls float a little so they can easily be moved by growing roots, unlike glass pebbles or rocks. We'll see if the nodes that are visible on the clean stump will do anything. #gardening #containergarden #houseplant #spathyphyllum #peacelily #waterculture #growingplantsinjars #growingplantsinwater #lastditcheffort #afterthisigiveup
