Just want to ask, but how is the relationship between the MCI and Michael in your AU?

Gosh, it’s a bit of a roller coaster.

When the kids first met Michael, who well, worked at Fazbears, and led by Cassidy, they were pretty angry against him. It sure didn’t help that he looked a lot like his father, that only made them angrier.

But after a while, when the place opened up again in the 90s, the ghost children started to notice a weird pattern. Everytime a new guard comes in… it looked like the same guy?! They swore they stuffed him in a suit a week ago! How and why did he come back, and keep coming back?!

So after a while, they started to realise… the guy was already dead… like, as in being a zombie. A LITERAL ZOMBIE! So instead of trying to kill him - unless it’s Cassidy we’re talking about who did try to kill him a bunch of times if Evan didn’t hold them back - the kids decided to be either annoying or nice to him. Mike obviously wasn’t expecting people to start liking him, at the time extremely depressed, so that was a bit of a shocker to him. After a good few weeks, he didn’t care anymore and them annoying him was just the norm now. Often seeing their shenanigans and terrifying powers in full display, which made him still on edge, but less fazed by the concept.

After Mike once finally completed a week and then managed to bring the Puppet home - hey, they weren’t using it, so maybe he can get it for himself! The Puppet seemed very inactive in those times… - the kids calmed down a fair bit. When both Mike and Charlie - yup, she was in the Puppet - managed to actually settle down better as Mike needed to move to a better place, the ghost kids decided to pay visits to them, especially more so when Mike stopped coming as a security guard and the pizzeria closed down. Sometimes, when they visit, they temporarily haunt small plushies to avoid being too on edge and have more fun cutesy times. Ever since then their relationship with the zombie seemed to be more calm and joyful, despite how angry the kiddos can be about their situation. Chaos still ensues, Charlie kept an eye on them from time to time but started to mature more, and Cassidy still being moody but slowly warmed up to Mike eventually.

TLDR: Mike and the MCI kids were both toxic to each other in FNAF 2, being annoying younger kids to the young adult in FNAF 1, and afterwards actually have a decent friendship. :3

Just wanna ask how exactly did Charlotte reunite with Michael in you au?

(Sorry it took me this long to answer because I was trying to think of how to word the reply, and then got busy and completely forgot to do it and draw for it oops)

I’ll try to keep the explanation brief, because I plan to dive into that rekindled relationship in the comic itself - which I should continue but uh, lack of motivation due to reasons of other hyperfixations keeping me from doing it - so I’ll show a snippet of their meeting and you guys can do whatever you want with this info >:)

Long after FNAF 2 happened, it seemed to Michael that most animatronics made a comeback, and to top it off having ghosts haunting most of them. There was only one he didn’t see yet, and so after a gruelling seventh night at Freddy’s, he decided to search the restaurant. He could finally roam around to try find stuff, and the next guy to come for morning shift was incredibly late so he stayed looking for longer. When venturing further inside Parts and Service however, he noticed… a chime… a lullaby with notes going off and cutting in a loop…

Since no one was looking, and the box clearly not being used in any way, he decided on a stupidly dangerous idea: bring the big present box back to his shitty flat.

Wasn’t easy to carry the thing, but after a whole morning of trying to bring it home he managed. He knew exactly what was inside, having worked back in 1987 at the location housing this box. And he knew why the music box was there, but was surprised that despite being broken it still worked its job. But knowing what he knew, and speculating which ghosts he didn’t meet yet, he tried to unbox it…

The Marionette, also simply known at the Puppet, instinctively attacked whoever woke them up… but it took a few seconds for the ghost to take control of their emotions… and a familiar voice Mike didn’t hear in so long spoke… and recognised who HE was too…

The rest of the day the two spent in panic talking, emotional arguments and then finding out Mike was fired from Freddy’s for “tampering with the animatronics, general unprofessionalism and ordor”. Welp. Guess they DID find out that he stole an animatronic they were never gonna use huh… among other things, but that didn’t matter as much.

It took a while after this first remeet that the two of them became close friends again, most with Charlie being salty about Mike taking her away from the rest of the ghosts who needed her, and Mike still freaked out by ghosts at the time. Charlie didn’t info dump everything onto him at first, feeling pretty petty and thought it’s best not to say anything, but more signs of what’s really happening for Mike made the push for her to try protect him too. From the other ghosts to even society, trying to get him to get a hold of himself and his life to try leave Freddy’s behind after its closure.

Of course, Fazbear Entertained wasn’t fully dead as they both hoped… :)

Well, I can say with 100% certainty that your Charlie handles problems better than mine. Made another comic of the two to explain why, think of it as a continuation of my previous ask.

So as you can see, my Charlie will solve problems by creating new ones. It doesn’t help that she was a bad influence on the missing kids, hence what Susie said about your Charlie.

LMAO love the drawings man XD They would've gotten away with these burns... if it wasn't for the fact that my Charlie still can clap back XD She may be cringe and chaotic, but that's who she is, and she just kept being more chaotic later down the years XD.

But SPEAKING OF GHOSTS AND FOOD! Ghosts in Afton's Return can't eat normal food - unlike in other AUs, I'm looking at y'all Gregaverse folks XD /j - ... but they can eat ghost food! They use their own memories of food they ate while alive to create a ghost version of it! Here's Gabriel demonstrating for us:

What if they wanna taste the food in the present? Maybe they had done something in a different recipe and the taste has changed? Fret not, they can also copy the food into ghost food! Susie can show us how!

So now the ghosts can eat whatever they want! XD (Gonna do a bit of an extra bit because it was in my head and I wanted to draw it XD)

I'm LIVING for your aftons return au, the characterization so far is so goood lol. I got a question though, idk if I'm missing something but how does Michael change his appearance like that? Does he use a disguise of some sort?

Aww, thank you! I'm really glad you're enjoying it so far!

Now as for Mike changing appearance, I know I didn't specify how he did it in the first few comics, but it will be shown a bit later. He's just wearing a ton of make-up lol. He uses some facepaint to cover his skin up.

As for the eyes however, he's actually changing them himself. He needs to be quite concentrated to turn them normal though, so if he gets too emotional or panics, his eyes glow or even turn back to black with glowing blue irises.

Of course, illusion disks do exist in this AU, it's just that Mike feels that it would go better for disguising very obvious animatronics. Since he's still human, he'll just slap some make-up on himself.
