Alfie had no experience going camping at all really. But he was determined to do something that Silver really wanted. He had bought a tent for them to sleep in, sleeping bags, and had essentially left everything else to his new lover. They were hiking to their reserved camping space, going to watch the stars through the breaks in the trees, and return back to Alfie’s apartment in the morning.

The two hiked through Viridian Forest, Alfie clutching his pokeballs in case of an encounter. “Are we almost at our camping ground? It’s getting a little dark and I don’t have a lot of repellent left.” There was a little more fear in his voice than he had intended. He was tempted to take Silver’s hand and hold it. But he wanted to show that he too, despite being a city boy, could brave the wilderness just like Silver.
