Anyway so l've decided I'm gonna look into doing a 1-2 week long event where Giovanni goes to prison and society slowly, inexorably, starts to crumble. Businesses close, your neighbors get arrested, half of the police force quits under mysterious circumstances, and the true DEPTH of Rocket is unveiled.

Their attention is drawn quite quickly as their name is said, turning mismatched eyes, followed quickly by their head and then body, to face the man who'd called out to them.

Gloved hands twitch briefly before being brought behind their back, assuming their normal , stiff stance as Giovanni speaks.

"..ah..?" They heard that correctly? Giovanni was personally asking them to apply to be the handler of a new experiment...?

"...Okay. Yessir."

Playing god or not, Mimsy wouldn't dare to question or deliberately disappoint Giovanni. It was a miracle enough they'd been allowed to KEEP Zeraora - Zuri - And train her. In spite of her causing some ... Problems. To them, Giovanni was patient and almost benevolent (Toward them? Regarding them?) and generous with his praise. They wanted more of that.

It's cold in here. Even for Zuri, thrumming with electrical heat. She knows she could kill someone if she tried, even if by accident, but she's confident she can stimulate her fur. She might not be a fire type, but she's RADIATING heat on Mimsy's tummy as they sleep.

It's one of those rare nights that Mimsy is laying on their back instead of their belly.

They'd had trouble sleeping, as it was indeed unbearably cold in their room, despite all of the pokemon surrounding them.

Though with Zuri on their stomach, it quickly became almost uncomfortably warm... They thought for a moment, in their half-awake state, before lazily pulling the blankets out from under Zuri while trying not to disturb her too much. (BB and the others moved to crawl under them as soon as Mimsy got them lifted)

Once that was done, they settled back down and pulled said blankets up and over Zuri. To trap her warmth, so she'd relax a little.

They lay their head back on the pillow and close their eyes once more, lulled back into sleepiness by the weight on their body.

[Mimsy has a boundless love for pokemon: unlike people, pokemon cannot do wrong* and are easy to understand.

They find it easier to relax around a pokemon, however intelligent or "humanlike" in nature, than around a human.

In the same vein, there are select few humans they find themself able to relax around. stunningly enough, one of those humans is Giovanni. (one specific Giovanni. @geobadge is referenced here, as thats the only Giovanni I've interacted with in depth. and I use relax gently, since they're still very aware of themself and their actions, but the kindness they've been shown worked away a lot of the defenses they put up. They're also fairly close with a couple members of Giovanni's pokemon team as a result.)

the other human would be Cyan (in some verses, Cyan is their lover) [Cyan is currently residing at @lifespringcafe ]

So innately, a dangerous and of humanlike intelligence pokemon is more likely to be treated civilly by Mimsy than a kind human with no ill intent. At first, at least.]

*Pokemon can do wrong, but this is understood by mimsy to just be part of their nature and often is not a product of malice or ill intent.
