top 10 most insane lyrics to me personally
it’s life, it’s heavy, tears at your sleeve sometimes
you’ll get close, but you’ll still miss. standing right next to it— you’re not gone, but you’re far from there. I WOULD’VE SHOWED, BUT YOU DIDN’T CARE.
i’ve never heard a song that is SOOOOOO in the pocket. every single syllable perfectly placed not one note a beat off anywhere. the way it’s got a subtle beat at the start of the verse and KICKS IN just as the poetry starts flowing in the chorus. life is maybe worth living for three and a half minutes i think
The in the night
@ater-sanguis After hours of crying alone, sobbing into the pillow, Lindir didn't remember falling asleep. His head was pounding and his throat was parched. He had hidden thr folder under the mattress. He thought about running. But it was clear that this Ondo man knew where Donni lived. When he woke, it was still daylight. He called for a nurse, desperately needing to make a phone call. He dialed Donni's number, mentally blushing at the fact that he had it memorized. He hoped Donni would answer. He would pay any bill he had to since he didn't have minutes. Lindir didn't care. His heart sank though when it went to voicemail. He made a sound of desperation and dialed again. He flopped back on his pillow in frustration, but it wasn't long until his parents left a message with the nurse. He was told to take a cab home whenever he recovered. "Why..?" He had asked and the nurse only shrugged and said "Car trouble." Lindir gathered his things, though the doctor didn't recommend leaving so soon with a head injury. Yes, he was dizzy and disoriented and on crutches and it took him fifteen minutes to get to the elevator, but once on the first floor he knew where he was. He decided to walk. Bad idea. But he had the folder secure in his grasp as he limped towards his parents' house. He had to stop frequently and upon examining his ankle it was clear it was swelling from use. He finally decided to hail a cab and he gave the direction of 'home'. Lindir hadn't been paying much attention, but when he looked up he saw a figure near the side of his house. Donni. He told the cabby to circle around and stop a few blocks away. From there he got out to walk. Well limp. As he approached he was certain it was Donni. He limped quickly, tears running down his face. He rounded the corner and callie out weakly. "Donni." His voice was raspy from being parched and tired. It sounded like a sore throat. He dropped his crutches and the folder, forgetting about it for a moment as he tried to go to Donni. But when he put weight on his ankle the pain was like a knife and he cried out, dropping to the ground after a few steps. He sat, defeated and tears flowing.
