thinking about this post by @madimoo31 again and how catra's 'you're such an idiot <3' in the heart (aka 'yes, of course i love you, i've always loved you') is just. THE example of this. and the way they tease each other and talk to each other being a display of love and affection. like it's only teasing on one level. it's their own love language. they made it for themselves, and like. even fucking better, they never have to communicate what 'fucking idiot <3' means because they've known since they started out that they're saying i love you, even if the other person doesn't understand it yet,,,, their entire relationship is build off of so much mutual love that they know each other better than anyone else,,,, after the war is just going to be them learning how to be openly affectionate, now that they don't have to hide anything from anyone,,, balancing their normal rituals that have come with them through so much and obvious affection,,, they are going to be the sappiest most disgustingly obviously in love couple on etheria and it is going to be EVERYONE'S problem
