the day had already been so overwhelming for her already that maggie didn’t know how much more she could take. it was her first time on a plane, on a thirteen hour flight in economy, and her first time in a foreign country and this far away from home. when she originally applied for the show she never dreamed she’d actually get cast but here she was. on a beach in mykonos, greece with complete strangers for the next few months. “i feel like this is all a dream,” the blonde spoke to no one in particular as she kicked the sand with her feet, “a dream i really hope i never wake up from.” her southern drawl sounding particularly prominent among the mix of voices on the beach.
okay, so. here’s the thing about benji: he isn’t a lightweight, but he does have the habit of becoming borderline obnoxious when he’s tipsy. which was now. “so what i don’t get is why doesn’t everyone just pick a person of their preference, pretend to be all lovey-dovey for 3 weeks, get engaged, take the money and run? why have videos of you crying over lost love plastered on YouTube for eternity? isn’t that kinda dumb? like, i might be kinda gay but if you’d pay me twenty-five thousand to get down on one knee for a girl... i’m not saying i’d do it but i’d do it.”
it was safe to say harper was taking full advantage of the open bar and scenic backdrop as she perused the bonfire and all it had to offer. it wasn’t that much different at home in la with the beaches and lavish parties she was almost always at despite her current reputation as a ‘britney meltdown waiting to happen’. “i love how my manager made this sound like a punishment to me when really this is all i could ever ask for. limitless drinks, hot people and a beach. i think i’m set for life. what about you?” the brunette questioned the nearest person to her.
“my flight was dead awful,” nate griped to the first person willing to listen. “first, had to drive all the way to the chester airport, and traffic was horrible. then, my flight got delayed by two hours, so i had to wait in that godawful airport doing nothin’ but twiddlin’ me thumbs.” he took a drink of the alcohol that was in front of him, which happened to be champagne. “anyways--is it just me, or are people drinking champagne constantly on this show?”
to kick off the first episode of in paradise: season 2, we are throwing a simple, yet elegant bonfire by one of the most fantastic beaches in mykonos: platis gialos! platis gialos is the longest beach in the island, and is also one of the most popular tourist spots in mykonos, with its golden sand and turquoise crystalline water. platis gialos offers numerous restaurants and bars that offer seafood and delicious greek cuisine. spend the afternoon enjoying a drink on loungers under the umbrellas and watch the world go by! take a stroll along the promenade and take in the sea breeze! participate in water sports and watercraft activities! the bonfire will begin at 7 pm with a continuous open bar, and of course tons of new people to meet!
contestants can watch the resplendent sunset with an unwavering gaze; let the smell of the ocean embrace you gracefully! your belongings will be brought upstairs where you can pick out your rooms and beds later. feel free to room with whomever you like!
