I love @agardxs / @dcvoue so much, her writing is absolutely amazing and both of her muses are wonderful. It's always fun to read her writing even if it's not in our threads or my fandom

Aredhon ground his teeth, the cold, unfeeling cell which held him a sign that he was going absolutely nowhere. He closed his eyes, thunking his head against the freezing wall as he mindlessly rubbed at his wrist. He was so tired, yet he couldn't rest in this place-- he was afraid, if he were honest, afraid of what would become of him. He'd seen Nelyo when Fingon had brought him after rescuing him, the redhead had lost a piece of himself and had been barely recognizable. Would he suffer the same fate? He knew well enough there was no love between his family and the treacherous lord who dwelt in the halls outside his door.
A sting in his wrist brought his attention to it, and he gave a startled 'ah!', attention completely diverted to the numbers he cherished so much. In the heat of his capture he'd quite forgotten how just before he'd been chatting with his men over the fact the numbers were getting closer. He blinked, confusion painting his brow as he heard footsteps coming toward his door. He doubted rescue would come at so steady a pace, his heart skipping a beat in terror at what was about to happen--- the numbers continued to count down as the steps stopped right before his door, casting a shadow under it.
"No..." he whispered at his wrist. "No no no no no. This can't be right this can't be right." The lock slid back and his head snapped up, the elven prince looking a bit like a deer caught in shock toward the door as it swung open.
He blinked, the numbers stopping a 00:00:00 under the sleeve of his torn tunic as his eyes took in the sight of flaming hair and hazel eyes, the latter of which set in a face he found himself staring too intently. He knew who this was, though he had never met her in person, a sinking feeling melding with elation which had no real place. This was Vairë's choice for him? His enemy?!
"Th...this cannot be..."
"Your brother has died." (@agardxs, haiiiii~)
“Interesting that you come here to tell me such Gorthaur.” Macalaure replied, lightly resting his cheek against his hand. Did courtesy extend to enemies visiting? Especially ones bearing bad news like this? Probably. With a sigh he indicated for her to sit in one of the chairs on the other side of his desk. “Perhaps you should tell me why he even bothered attempting with negotiations in the first place.”
