Several Pacific Kauri both with cones, really cool cone anatomy THICK woody peduncle. thought it was unusual to see collections of them on bare branches i have no idea if this is common but cool to see. these are at the botanic garden, Gondwana Arboretum, Auckland, NewZealand. Another cool Pasific Kauri, this one has more lancelot leafs that end in more of a point with more sub-opposite leafs on the lower branches also much more bright green than the tree in the previous post. cone at top cool! They have kauri from both Vanuatu and Fiji here are despite them being close enough to be classified as a species I would love to know which is which and if they have any morphological differences. this tree is located in the botanical garden in Auckland, New Zealand. this tree and the last are interesting candidates for the different origins purely since they sit separate from the others? if anyone knows please let me know.

Photos of a pacific Kauri in the botanic gardens, Gondwana rrboretum. Auckland, New Zealand. they have two origins for macrophylla from both Fiji and Vanuatu i would love to know which is which but as far as i can tell they are unlabeled. There are a lot of these endangered Kauri here I would love to have another look sometime as we only saw a few! I love their opposite leafs in lower branches. Super pretty trees.

Fiji or pacific island Kauri. hard to tell how many through thick bush. Its hard to tell which is which the gardens have a lot of kinds listed as being in podocarp valley, Auckland botanical garden, New Zealand. planted next to each other. I would like to return and be more thorough look at them. The tree with subopposite leafs features in most of the photos was labeled so i'm sure of it but the photo of the cones and one next to it are from a neighboring tree. generall location a lot of foliage has been cleared map not accurate. -37.01198845800545, 174.9104510838838
