Having a good relationship with your Agathos Daimon is said to be a very good and virtuous thing. This household daimon keeps us protected and healthy, taking the form of a serpent deity.
He appeared in my dreams when I began my journey into Hellenic Polytheism and everytime I pray to him, leave offerings and stuff, I feel a very joyous energy fill the house!
It is said he is the guardian of our ancestors and is similar in quality to Zeus Ktesios (Zeus of the Home), a good friend and advisor. Being a special kind of daimon, he's not a God like the Theoi or a mortal spirit, he's more like a deified spirit who's with us from the beginning of our lives till the end!
In honour of this helpful friend, the second day of the lunar month is reserved to honouring him and our ancestors! Befriend him with milk, honey and wine, I bet you'll love to meet your snake protector!
