(Multiple shots) Between January and March is sort of a resting period for me. For some reason, assignments come in slow. Yesterday, I was looking back at some of the most satisfying projects I did last year and #AgDevCo ‘s assignment in Gulu surely has a priority placement on the list. (Check images shared on 7th August 2018) AgDevCo is contributing to the transformation of agriculture in Gulu from subsistence farming to a modern commercial way. This is through investing debt and equity plus hands-on support to establish and develop commercial scale agri business. AgDevCo’s small holder development unit works with rural agricultural establishments to develop equitable out-grower schemes that boost productivity and incomes for small holder farmers. In this particular case study, the AgDevCo wanted to tell the story that of a cotton processing and trading company (Gulu Agricultural Development Company) in Northern Uganda through the eyes of the farmers it supports and the people it employs. Besides documenting the whole project, I was also required to take individual portraits of 10 farmer whose story stood out. Looking through the archives, I thought... “Why not share these Portraits Specifically?” . . . . . . . . . . . .
