We have a hamster now.
You all can see by my profile pic that I have a gecko, a leopard gecko to be exact. When I started this year, I did not think I would HAVE a gecko, I never really thought about getting one, it was all very spur of the moment.
That is one pet we did not expect to have.
While I was getting my reptile equipment, my brother, age 6 at the time, realizes he also wants a pet, and asks for a turtle. However, he does not have the money, and mom says he can get one with the money from his birthday, which is in a few weeks.
His birthday rolls around, and he goes to get his turtle, only to find out that even with his birthday money, he still cannot afford all the equipment. Nothing daunted, he decides instead to get a fish.
Today, he goes to PetSmart to get the aforementioned fish, and returns-with a hamster. A girl hamster, to be specific, named Puffy. It now lives in the garage.

Now, we posses a dog, two cats, a gecko, and a hamster. I feel like Im living in a sitcom.
