Rant because I can

Saw a post thread talking about how they're confused to why most people are excited for Loki to be in the pride month young avengers reunion(Also the MCU. But like MCU are cowards They would never add kid Loki's and ikol's arcs to the MCU so Loki won't actually join the team what ever or if he would be would be an alternative universe where kid Loki is a good guy)

redemption arcs are fun and I need Loki to get one with them. He's already with the good guys and he have helped save earth many times. what's stopping us from getting a Young avengers one??The drama is gonna be so much fun because like he would have to help many times.

It's not our fault you're not as updated with Loki as us. Nor is it our fault if you just don't care even if he got himself killed protecting Billy or teddy or helped so many times because you're the type who would never forgive people that's on you not us.

Reading comics have become harder and harder for me lately because like I'm all about relationships and everyone is on a team. Loki is the only one that works alone which isn't Fair. If Tony can be on the avengers and have a team so can Loki.

Loki being in a queer comic short is a win to Loki bisexual and genderfluid fans it means we have aserted his place as one of us.

do you know how rare Loki content is??? You would think judging by how popular he is he would be everywhere but nope. Of course we're excited we need more of him wouldn't you be excited if your fav appeared in a new comic?

Also why him?you literally made two villians up why shove Loki with them a character who haven't been a villian since 13 years now???AND have been struggling to keep himself as not the villian in fucking pride month? Of all months pride month? The month where since he's queer we should be getting stories where his struggles get knowledged?

I swear if this doesn't turns out to be a miss understanding between iceman and Loki I'm gonna be so pissed.

Fic Rec May: The Hand That Holds the Sword

Change of pace here! Today’s fic rec, The Hand That Holds the Sword by Mythtaken Identity, is about comics!Loki -- specifically, Agent of Asgard!Loki.

This author was, in all honesty, probably the only reason I actually went ahead with buying and reading the Journey Into Mystery comics at all, because that’s how well she sells it; and definitely the only reason I was willing to give Agent!Loki a chance after the way JiM ends. She writes both incarnations of young Loki, and she’s one of those writers who can really make anything engaging, so I took a chance on those canons in her fic. Without a doubt, she’s responsible for my interest in and fondness for the character of Verity Willis, a new character as of Agent of Asgard who’s only gotten a relatively small amount of screentime so far.

I enjoy most of her fic, if not all, but I’m going to specifically rec The Hand That Holds the Sword as the Loki/Verity fic I keep coming back to. It’s not really a romance, but it still captures the essence of such a yearning  between them to build a sense of connection, to build a friendship, in many ways each of them the only  friend that the other has -- or even can  have, because of who they are. This fic is in essence about the power imbalance that exists because an ambiguously evil immortal god-sorcerer and a mortal human, and how differently each of them perceive that balance. Loki’s method of attempting to address that inequality, to bring them to a level where they really can  be friends without the constant threat of coercion involved, is as heartwarming as it is bittersweet.

I wouldn’t necessarily say “if you like Agent!Loki, read this fic,” because that’s a bit limiting, isn’t it? I would rather say, “if you’re willing to give that Loki a chance, then read this fic,” because I was and I did and I was greatly rewarded for it.

well though I totally agree about not forcing a straight love story with Loki. I don't know if it is right to call Loki bi? 'cause Loki has no corporal restriction and to define his sexuality by one word is like restricting him or something, Loki is well... Loki

AOA!Loki was specifically described by the writer as bisexual, though.  He was also said to be switching between genders, as well as Odin confirmed that Loki was “both” when talking about him.  So, there you have more wiggle room, but I think “genderfluid” would be the accurate term.Like, if you want to take him beyond bisexual, I’m not going to stop you, but as a bisexual person getting specifically canon bisexual representation, I’m gonna die on this hill and all that.  XD
