Okay. Next question.
ARGYLLE (2024) dir. Matthew Vaughan
Okay i went to go see Argyle and the BIGGEST PROBLEM with that movie was not the tone, not the lack of Bryan Cranston, it was not even the bad special effects.
It was the fact that they had the perfect scenario for HENRY CAVILL and JOHN CENA to kiss in a comical scene, and THEY PUSSIED OUT???
on further thinking argylle does a lot that it deserves so much notice for. like having the protag be a chubby woman who guns down cia agents and there are NO jokes about her weight or gender or anything. shes the smartest one there. no men feel emasculated. the love interest is just like “this is the COOLEST woman ever. also shes implied to be bisexual. its actually great.
if Elly and Aiden make out at the end does that mean Argylle and Wyatt also do the same in the books???
He looks so GOOD!! *screaming*
Do you know how much I want Henry to be the real Agent Argylle, but have him be some like stupidly geeky agent. Like puts fucking Clark Kent to shame, geeky. Give me the glasses, pocket protector, tucked in shirt, with the waistline that's just a tad too high type shit. But this nerd somehow manages to get shite done, because who'd expect this geek to be an Agent of anything, other than a character on a Sunday night DnD session.
