@agent-amare: starter.

Solo missions were meant to be a BREEZE. A paid vacation, really. A few days without being woken up by screeching and obnoxious teenagers going up and down the halls. What he wasn’t expecting however, was to get caught in the uniform.

“Look, this isn’t what you think it is-” Unless of course she thinks he’s a costumed vigilante running around trying to help the Kitchen brats with Fisk... then, yeah, maybe it was exactly that.

The Revenant had found her out and about, presumably walking home. He kept an eye on her from a distance, lurking like a wraith, not bothering to blend with the shadows, but at the same time, not needing to -- he was a hundred feet up, and behind her. When she stopped, he soundlessly dropped into the alley adjacent to her, and intentionally kicked a pebble to draw her attention. He wasted no time, and his synthetic voice echoed softly off of the bricks.

“I’ve heard about you.”

Steve felt cold to his core, like he had spent too long in an ice bath. Like he was... like he was back... The supersoldier squeezed his eyes shut as he walked down the hallway towards one of the open air balconies that the complex, or palace, had scattered around it. His teeth were chattering together and he couldn't stop them even when he tried. He was wrapped in one of his thickest hoodies, his hands buried in his pockets and his arms clenched as tightly to his torso as he could get them in an attempt to keep his warmth from escaping.

As he turmed the corner he wasn't paying any attention, his body running on autopilot and his eyes just starting to open as the memory of ice started to receded once more. So when he crashed into someone he wasn't exactly surprised at himself.

"S-sorry," Steve said, wincing when his chattering teeth caused him to stutter.

little mistakes

Clint usually didn't have a problem owning up his mistakes, but recently Hill had been obsessed with making him feel guilty about destroying SHIELD stuff. It wasn't like he could know when he'd be falling out of a window or a moving van.

" ... So, uh ... you think you can retrieve the data inside that thing?" Before Hill kicks my ass again, he wanted to add.
