This was a stupid, pathetic project. Partly because honestly, who cared enough to write a report on “Influential Naval Leaders of the 18th Century?” And partly and more importantly because it was a paired project.
And that would be fine, if and only if he was working with Yamaguchi. Which of course, he wasn’t, because nothing in life was ever easy. Which made it terrible.
The name on the sheet of paper in front of him wasn’t that of anyone whom he regularly interacted with. Wufei Chang... That had to be the name of the Chinese exchange student, right? At least he could identify who it was. As the rest of the class was doing, Tsukishima got out of his chair, and approached his apparent slick-haired partner’s chair.
“Look, I don’t want to get in your way, and I don’t want you to get in mine. We can divide up the work, put it together at the end, and get a passing grade,” he spoke, forgoing his own introduction entirely.
