and    that’s    when    the    melody    begins    ,         base    loud    enough    to    rattle    the    floorboards    .          an    attempt    to    draw    them    out    .          ‘    fuck    ...    ’          fragile    ,         weak    ,         is    her    voice    .          head    dipping    ,      honey    -    blonde    tresses    sullied    in    sticky    ,         blood    -    crimson    .          the    ominous    harmonies    are    meant    to    draw    out    her    salvation    .          stay    back    ,          there’s    shooters    everywhere    ,         you    think    ,         but    the    words    never    surface    from    maw    .          instead    ,          consciousness    begins    to    slip    .          shades    of    onyx    enveloping    perception    and    faculties    faltering    .          and    your    conscience    screams    :          stay    awake    stay    awake    stay    awake    !

hazel-hued gaze stares blankly at the wall. his chin slightly rests against clasped hands, elbows pressed to the top of the table. the conference room is empty save for the two of them. it feels strange to be in here without the others, without a buzzing of energy, constant chatter of ideas rolling off of one another. it's just them and the hollowness. he feels jennifer beside him, feels when she squats beside his chair and reached up to touch his arm. emil blinks and slowly forces his head to turn. he meets her eyes, feels the weight in them and wants to crawl inside the warmth he finds there. he swallows quickly and lowers his hands. blood is caked on his knuckles. there will be bruises there in the morning. his fingers are trembling when he pushes blonde locks away from his forehead. ❝ i thought... ❞ he looks away from her and looks at his hands again when he places them down, palms flat on the table. ❝ i thought i was okay. ❞

he lost himself today. it isn't as if he was out of line. he only fought because he had to, because if he didn't the unsub would have killed one of them. that isn't what made him so lost. it was how far he took it, it's that the still hasn't come back from the panic that coursed through him at the very thought of someone dying again. his lips part to speak but nothing comes out. so he just shakes his head instead and closes his fingers around her palm.

Criminal Minds S12 E2 - Sick Day

I am literally so excited for this JJ centric episode. Seeing Will, Henry and Michael again will be lovely but I don’t like it that it’s at the expense of JJ’s sanity.
